During an interview this week, Jim Ross gave fans a little bit of a nugget. He revealed that there is a good amount of resentment towards him from the current group of broadcasters in WWE. Majority of that is not his fault, as guys like Michael Cole, Jerry Lawler, JBL and Booker T have grown tired of hearing fans complaining about their work on social media and demanding that Ross be brought back into the company and give his old job back.

The internet wrestling community went into outrage yesterday when it was reported that Eva Marie would be replacing Jerry Lawler as the host of the hall of fame ceremony. WWE heard the complaints. Lawler himself stated that the rumors are not true, but there is speculation running around that the front office decided to cancel the change because of the negative reactions on social media. Management wanted to go with a younger host.

For whatever reasons, WWE has decided to replace Jerry Lawler with Eva Marie as the host of the hall of fame ceremony that is taking place at Wrestlemania. That has led to immediate backlash from the online wrestling community. Many voiced their opinions on social media that the red haired diva should not be hosting the event because they do not feel that she is worthy of the honor. A lot of them want Lawler back as the host.

Yesterday, WWE announced that Jerry Lawler had been removed from the commentating team on Monday Night Raw and moved over to the Smackdown crew. Many immediately believed that the move was done in response to his recent hospital stay for diverticulitis. However, reports are surfacing that management has long been wanting to do this move. They simply could not do it because of the public reaction to his heart attack.

On Monday Night Raw this week, Jerry Lawler received some backstage heat, due to sexually inappropriate comments that he made on the air. There are now rumors floating around that Vince McMahon was vehemently yelling at the announcers immediately after the comments were made. That would explain the awkward silence from Michael Cole and JBL. Generally, the commentators are silent whenever they are listening to McMahon on the headset.
