Scott Hall

GFW releases Scott Hall

When you are starting a brand new company, bad publicity is the last thing that you need because it sets you back a couple of steps. That is the reason why Jeff Jarrett was forced to release his good friend Scott Hall from the GFW roster. The former Intercontinental Champion will no longer be going on the summer tour because he was escorted out of a wrestling event for being drunk. Hall was sober for quite some time, but he had a relapse.

Impatient wrestling fans have long been criticizing Jeff Jarrett for not revealing the roster for GFW, not understanding that such a task takes time to complete. Well, the first batch of names are going to be released on Wednesday during a press conference in Las Vegas. While there might be a couple of big name free agents joining Global Force Wrestling, the more realistic expectations is that there will be some new faces included.

Global Force Wrestling in Las Vegas

Back in February, it was confirmed that GFW would be based in Las Vegas. Now, it looks like Jeff Jarrett has finalized the deal because he has started to do official promotion for it. While not a lot of details have been released, Jarrett has informed us that it will definitely be taking place this summer. No confirmation yet on a television deal, but the belief is that Global Force Wrestling can help further the cause by doing live events at least.

Jim Ross

GFW signs Matt Striker

The very first GFW pay per view will be taking place in a couple of weeks, so Jeff Jarrett has been working diligently to find a broadcasting partner for Jim Ross. They attempted to get Mike Tenay, but TNA turned that down because they do not want their employees to help out competing promotions. Jarrett and Ross then turned to Matt Striker, an underrated talker that was released from WWE back in June of 2013 when his contract expired.
