Since there has been no announcement, a lot of fans are under the assumption that Jeff Jarrett is not working on his roster. That is simply not the case. It has now been revealed that GFW has reached out to several of the top independent wrestlers to negotiate deals with them. Some have already signed, but Global Force Wrestling is not ready to make the announcement just yet. They want to build a deeper pool of talent first.

GFW on television

With fans eagerly awaiting every new announcement, Jeff Jarrett has revealed that he has been in negotiations with three different television networks in regards to airing a weekly show for GFW. The former world heavyweight champion is already planning on taping shows in June, so that means that a deal will more than likely be closed by then. Jarrett did not reveal the names of the network, which is customary in the business.

When it comes to being booked on the independent wrestling circuit, Jeff Jarrett has the best of both worlds. Not only does he get to perform for fans and be paid rather handsomely for it, he also gets the opportunity to recruit wrestlers to join GFW. In May, he is working a show in California that will also feature Carlito. The two of them are expected to have a little discussion about doing business together later on this year.

He believes that it should definitely be a part of his shows. That is why Evan Bourne is said to be on his radar. Rumors surfaced recently that the voice of the promotion will be a very familiar one to longtime wrestling fans. It is being said that Jarrett is hoping to bring together Jim Ross and Mike Tenay as his broadcasting team. He tried teaming them up for New Japan in January.

Global Force Wrestling has been confirmed to be based in Las Vegas.

Unlike Vince McMahon, Jarrett admits that he keeps up with the competition because it is the smart thing to do. When asked about the WWE developmental program, Jarrett acknowledges that he is a fan of NXT. He cites Kevin Owens as his favorite performer on that roster.

A lot of rumors have been swirling around GFW since their first announcement. You can rule out the one about Vince Russo joining the company as the lead writer. During a recent interview, Jeff Jarrett flat out stated that he would not hire Russo at this point in time. The belief is that Jarrett does not want the negative connotation that surrounds Russo to affect the chance of Global Force Wrestling being accepted by the fans from the start.

Since we have not seen a GFW announcement recently, there are many fans who are under the assumption that Jeff Jarrett is struggling to launch his new promotion. That does not appear to be the case. Even thought the pay per view took place on January 4, Jarrett has been busy finishing up the post show promotional work. He is now expected to focus again on finding a television contract and securing some talent for his roster.

WWE blocking Jim Ross

For those of you that are wondering, Jim Ross is still not on great terms with WWE. In addition to him helping out Jeff Jarrett at the first GFW pay per view, management is also still blocking their former commentator from having contracted performers doing his podcast interviews. A fan recently asked Ross if he had any plans on interviewing Kane, and the hall of fame announcer revealed that he was still not allowed to talk to their performers.
