On October 12, 2015, New Japan is doing their annual King of Pro Wrestling pay per view, and they have enlisted the aid of Matt Striker to do English commentary. Management has been putting more effort into reaching a potentially huge fan base in the United States. They tried that recently with their partnership with Jeff Jarrett and Jim Ross. The belief is that the heavily underrated Striker was chosen over Ross because his rate is not nearly as high.

Since he has done it before, Jeff Jarrett knows what it takes to build up a business. You go for one victory at a time. GFW just scored their first victory. The promotion now has a television deal in England. Fans in that country will now be able to watch Amped thanks to a new deal between Global Force Wrestling and Boulder Creek International. Doing well overseas will help Jarrett leverage the networks in the United States.

During a recent podcast interview with Steve Austin, Chael Sonnen revealed some rather interesting things about Jeff Jarrett and his ownership stake in TNA, which a lot of fans assume has been vanquished completely. Sonnen stated that Jarrett still owns more than 11% of the company. It is a sizable amount but not enough to where he can go in and control the board of directors or anything.

In a press release, Jeff Jarrett revealed that GFW will be helping to promote the final movie that Roddy Piper ever starred in. The film is called The Masked Saint, and it will be released in theaters next January. Prior to his death from a heart attack, Piper had agreed to work for Global Force Wrestling as an ambassador. That would have helped draw in fans to the promotion.

In order to increase his promotion's chances at succeeding, Jeff Jarrett wisely knows that he's going to need names that fans are more familiar with. The former world heavyweight champion has picked up a centerpiece for GFW in Brutus Magnus, who asked for a release from TNA and received it recently. He is finishing up at Slammiversary.

When asked during a recent interview if he would play an on screen role in GFW, Jeff Jarrett stated that his presence in front of the camera will be minimal. Showing that he is still gifted at the art of public relations, the former world heavyweight champion stated that he was focused more on being a promoter and wanting to set a stage for the performers to shine. Jarrett knows that fans are peculiar about owners being on screen too much.
