GFW releases Scott Hall

When you are starting a brand new company, bad publicity is the last thing that you need because it sets you back a couple of steps. That is the reason why Jeff Jarrett was forced to release his good friend Scott Hall from the GFW roster. The former Intercontinental Champion will no longer be going on the summer tour because he was escorted out of a wrestling event for being drunk. Hall was sober for quite some time, but he had a relapse.

Since he is making his way up the industry, Moose has generated a good amount of attention from the bigger promotions in the business. He has been given a nice push by ROH. Jeff Jarrett signed the former NFL player to work his upcoming GFW tour. TNA is said to have him on the radar as well. Now, reports have surfaced that WWE attempted to sign the 31 year old for their upcoming season of Tough Enough. They wanted him to be a ringer.

Since he has long been known as one of the mot controversial characters in all of professional wrestling, the belief was that Scott Steiner would not be joining another major promotion again. However, it appears that his close relationship with Jeff Jarrett has proven that to be wrong. GFW has signed Steiner and added him to their roster. While there is a slight chance he may wrestle, the belief is that he will simply be doing appearances for them.

GFW signs Chris Sabin

Since he is one of the best performers on the independent wrestling circuit, many were under the belief that Jeff Jarrett was going to try to get Chris Sabin under contract once GFW started. Well, apparently, those rumors are true. The promotion has now signed the former world heavyweight champion, and he will more than likely be taking part in the upcoming summer tour. No word yet on what his status with ROH will be now.

In addition to what he brings as a talker who is passionate about professional wrestling, one of the biggest reasons why GFW brought in Chael Sonnen as an announcer is because they are hoping that his name value from his UFC career would be an asset in their negotiations with a network. Jeff Jarrett has meticulously carved out a plan so that his Global Force Wrestling could get a television contract for the weekly taping that he is planning.

However, the former WWE star does work the occasion match on the independent wrestling circuit. He just doesn't make a big deal out of it. There are now rumors floating around the Jeff Jarrett might be able to convince Haas to become a more active performer after he revealed that GFW had signed Shelton Benjamin to a contract.

Late in 2014, rumors surfaced that Shelton Benjamin was going to make a return to WWE because the company filed for a trademark to his name. It turns out that it was simply for merchandising reason. Well, good news if you've been wanting Benjamin back in the United States. He has now been signed to a contract by GFW and should be a part of that summer tour. Jeff Jarrett has been building himself quite the roster.

The most interesting network on that list is Spike, which recently allowed Impact Wrestling to leave.

Since they have increased their popularity and name value over the past year, the Young Bucks were heavily sought after. TNA was one of the companies that tried to sign them. Matt Jackson and Nick Jackson opted to go with Jeff Jarrett instead because they wanted to see just how far he can take the GFW promotion. Plus, the schedule in Global Force Wrestling will enable them to continue being stars in New Japan, where they are beloved.
