After months of pondering his next couple of chapters in professional wrestling, Jeff Hardy has decided to forego an opportunity to return to WWE, the company that helped make him a global sensation. Instead, he opted to sign a contract extension with TNA, the company that gave him another chance to be a part of the industry that he grew up loving. No word yet on the terms of the deal, but it should be at least a year.

While it could mean absolutely nothing, sources are stating that Jeff Hardy has been mentioned a bit more frequently than usual by the people backstage in WWE. The interest in his return has been slowly rising, it seems. Hardy is one of the higher paid performers in TNA, so if the company is looking to save cost, then they might negotiate a mutually agreed upon release in the near future.

Some further details have been revealed about the upcoming tour of China that TNA has planned. Apparently, it is happening a lot sooner than expected. The company is planning on doing three shows during the latter half of May. MVP is being heavily promoted since some will remember him from his days in WWE. Gail Kim is Asian, so that helps with the demographic. Jeff Hardy is advertised for the show, but his availability could be an issue.

While there are some fans out there that are bitter at him for leaving WWE, Jeff Hardy still has a large and loyal group of fans. When TNA announced that he was going to be headlining the latest episode of Impact Wrestling in a steel cage match with James Storm, many of those fans made sure to tune in. Hardy helped the company receive an increase in viewership this week. It further solidifies that name value is still the most important trait in wrestling.
