While there are some fans out there that are bitter at him for leaving WWE, Jeff Hardy still has a large and loyal group of fans. When TNA announced that he was going to be headlining the latest episode of Impact Wrestling in a steel cage match with James Storm, many of those fans made sure to tune in. Hardy helped the company receive an increase in viewership this week. It further solidifies that name value is still the most important trait in wrestling.

In a sign that he might have completely ruled out the possibility of ever signing with WWE, David Benoit recently took a jab at the company during an interview. He specifically stated that since their program has changed so much over the years, they have effectively killed his passion for wrestling. Benoit then went on to praise TNA, praising a recent steel cage match featuring James Storm, Jeff Hardy and Matt Hardy at Lethal Lockdown.

Since a lot of fans yearn to see him back in the top promotion in the United States, many keep holding on to hope that Jeff Hardy will return to WWE some day. That looks very unlikely to happen. In addition to him being happy with the current situation and schedule that TNA has offered him, Hardy is said to be quite content with his legacy. He feels that he has already accomplished plenty as a professional wrestler. He can retire feeling satisfied.

Some bad news for those of you that have been holding out hope that Jeff Hardy will return to WWE some day. It is not going to happen anytime soon. The former world heavyweight champion has just signed a contract extension with TNA. Terms of the deal were not announced, but it's expected to be for a minimum of a year. Hardy is pleased with how supportive the company has been to him, so he wants to show his loyalty back.

However, the reports about Jeff Hardy being serious injured during the taping of Lockdown, that has received some mainstream media attention. TMZ, which keeps a pretty close eye on WWE and TNA, picked up the story, and it has spread through social media. There are still talks that the injury is just a work.
