There was an Impact Wrestling taping on Thursday night, and Jeff Hardy worked a match like he said he would. The former world heavyweight champion defeated Tyrus by disqualification. Hardy did botch a top rope spot, and he sold a leg injury as he walked to the back after the match. During a recent podcast interview, Hardy told fans that he was going to wrestle in January despite needing another surgery to repair his knee injury.

Some people just enjoy taking risks. Jeff Hardy revealed to Ric Flair during his weekly podcast interview show that he was going to attempt to wrestle a match in January. He has been out of action since May because of a leg injury he suffered while doing stunts on a dirt bike. Hardy is taking a great risk here because doctors have already informed him that he needs another surgery to repair the damage.

When asked recently if they would be interested in doing another TLC tag team match at Wrestlemania, the Dudley Boyz stated that they were hesitant to do so because it would be extremely difficult for them to top the matches that they did with Jeff Hardy, Matt Hardy, Edge and Christian. However, they did say that New Day and the Usos would be their opponents of choice if they did another one.

In November, Northeast Wrestling will celebrated their 20th year of being in business. The promoter really wanted to put on a huge show. Reports have surfaced that he attempted to sign both Jeff Hardy and Rey Mysterio to do a match in the main event. Both have extremely high fees, but the promoter was willing to pay it to create a buzz. Mysterio was said to be willing. However, Hardy is not healthy enough to participate.

In case you missed Impact Wrestling this week, Ethan Carter fired Jeff Hardy because he refused to obey his command. That has led to speculation within the internet wrestling community that he could be leaving TNA. That is not the case at this moment. The segment was being done to generate interest, which it has, and to set up a big match between Hardy and Carter later on. Hardy is still under contract to Total Nonstop Action.

His latest partnership might come in the form of OMEGA, the promotion that is owned and operated by Matt Hardy and Jeff Hardy. Jarrett allowed two of their performers to work a championship match at a GFW live event.

He stated that the front office has never been late in paying he and Jeff Hardy. The former US champion even posted a photo of the monthly fee check, per match check, royalty check and another check that was included in the new contract he signed.

When asked about changing his style, the former WWE champion stated that he is not planning on doing that. Hardy states that he knows his body better than anyone else, and he knows what he is still capable of. Hardy helped the company receive an increase in viewership this week. It further solidifies that name value is still the most important trait in wrestling.
