Cody Rhodes
In an interesting move, WWE had Dean Ambrose defend the United States Heavyweight Championship at a live event in Saudi Arabia this week. He successfully retained the belt in a fatal four way that consisted of Cody Rhodes, Kofi Kingston and Dolph Ziggler. Ambrose has rarely been allowed to defend the US title over the last couple of months.

Darren Young
Days after disputing internet reports about his injury, it has now been revealed that Darren Young has suffered a torn ACL, which will keep him on the sidelines for the remainder of the year. The injury took place at a WWE live event last Saturday night. Since Young wasn't being pushed on television, management does not have to change much.
April 16, 2014
Antonio Cesaro
Even though Conor OBrian and Rick Victor received a lousy reaction from WWE fans at a live event last month in New York City, management still believes in them. Rumors have it that the Ascension could be brought up to the main roster in the coming weeks. The two of them could be utilized as replacements for Jack Swagger and Antonio Cesaro in the tag team division.
April 14, 2014
Antonio Cesaro
Since he split with Jack Swagger and Zeb Colter, many fans are under the impression that Antonio Cesaro is doing a face turn. WWE is currently planning on keeping him a heel, as Paul Heyman functions a lot better in that role. Cesaro worked as a heel against Dolph Ziggler at a live event in Texas over the weekend. WWE might be persuaded to change their minds down the line because of his growing popularity, however.
April 13, 2014
Darren Young
At a live event in Texas over the weekend, Darren Young might have suffered some sort of injury. His match with Fandango was extremely short, and the ending was awkward, as Young was counted out after delivering a flying ax handle. Agents came out to the ringside area to check on Young and helped him limp backstage.
April 13, 2014
Samoa Joe
One of the more notable absence on Impact Wrestling this week was Samoa Joe. Many believed that he would have been a part of that gauntlet match to determine a new contender for the TNA title. However, it has now been revealed that Joe was unable to work the show because he suffered a concussion at a live event in Nebraska a couple of weeks ago.
April 12, 2014
Brie Bella
Several WWE stars flew into Arizona on Thursday to attend the wedding of Daniel Bryan and Brie Bella. The event is being held in Sedona. A lot of the performers are able to be in attendance because WWE is not running a live event today. Several of the stars are heading out immediately to Texas to work a house show in Hidalgo on Saturday night.
April 11, 2014
AJ Lee
Since management is firmly behind her at the moment, there have been rumors about Naomi Knight possibly winning the WWE Divas Championship at Wrestlemania 30. That is looking to be more of a possibility after this weekend, as Naomi was booked in a win over AJ Lee at a live event. Some feel that the company was testing the audience reaction to such a move.
March 24, 2014
Brodus Clay
After spending some time down at the WWE Performance Center, Brodus Clay is now back on the road. He worked a live event over the weekend in Atlantic City, where he did a quick dance off segment with the Great Khali, another performer who has been off the road for a couple of weeks. No word on a television return for Clay yet.
March 24, 2014
Dolph Ziggler
In a rather interesting bit of news, WWE did a live event in Long Island this weekend, and they purposely opted not to use Zack Ryder, the hometown hero. In what could be a show of defiance towards management, Dolph Ziggler did an in ring tribute to Zack Ryder during his match by doing a couple of his Ryder's signature moves.
March 24, 2014
Seiki Yoshioka
In an attempt to give the championship a little more prestige, Seiya Sanada defended the TNA X Division Championship in Japan this week. He scored a victory over Seiki Yoshioka at a Wrestle-1 live event. Sanada is expected to return to the United States to work a couple of more episodes of Impact Wrestling soon.
March 23, 2014
Batista
It looks like the incident in Winnipeg involving Batista and a radio DJ was not staged after all. Cam Carson has been fired by Power 97, who sponsored the live event. He was heavily intoxicated and was legitimately thrown out by WWE security for getting into an argument with Batista. A woman is also claiming that her 11 year old son was injured by the DJ that night.
March 21, 2014
Dixie Carter
Earlier this month, it was revealed that Slammiversary 2014 is being held in the Dallas area this year. Dixie Carter and her staff are a bit concerned about that choice now, as the more popular WWE recently was only able to draw in 5000 fans to a live event in the city last weekend. Interest in wrestling might just be low in that area.
March 21, 2014
Dolph Ziggler
Since Santino Marella was not on hand at the WWE live event in Corpus Christi, Dolph Ziggler was chosen as his replacement, teaming up with Emma to beat Fandango and Summer Rae in a mixed tag team match. No word yet on why Marella was absent, but this does not appear to be a permanent change in the story line.
March 18, 2014
Damien Sandow
Over the weekend, Mark Henry worked a live event for WWE in Austin, where he currently lives. He received a nice reaction from the audience and was given a victory over Damien Sandow. Afterwards, he grabbed the microphone and addressed the audience. Henry informed the fans that the retirement rumors regarding him are false. The belief is that it was done to drum up support for the former world heavyweight champion.
March 16, 2014
Alicia Fox
With so much mystery surrounding her absence over the last several months, Layla El has finally made her return to WWE over the weekend at a live event in Waco. She teamed up with Alicia Fox to defeat Natalya Neidhart and Eva Marie in a tag team match. Some were under the belief that she would never be healthy enough to wrestle again, but that has now been proven false.
March 16, 2014
Alberto Del Rio
Those that are hoping to see the two of them being pushed again are in luck, as Dolph Ziggler and Alberto Del Rio really impressed WWE officials over the weekend thanks to their superb match at the big live event in Madison Square Garden. The audience reacted extremely well, and there were several "This is awesome!" chants throughout the bout.
March 10, 2014
Justin Gabriel
In a rather interesting move, WWE had Ryback come out to interfere in the match between Miz and Justin Gabriel during the big live event at Madison Square Garden this weekend. Ryback assaulted both performers, but they were able to counter him. Miz and Gabriel both hit their finishing move on Ryback to the enjoyment of the audience.
March 10, 2014
Conor OBrian
Since management wanted to test out the developmental wrestlers to see if they were ready to be called up to the main roster, the Ascension, a tag team consisting of Conor OBrian and Rick Victor, were given a match against Diego and Fernando at the big live event in New York City this weekend. WWE even paired Vickie Guerrero up with them. Unfortunately, though, the crowd was silent and indifferent towards the duo, thus hurting their chances of being promoted.
March 9, 2014
Batista
While working a live event for WWE in Winnipeg this week, Batista was involved in a physical altercation with a fan at ring side. There was yelling, shoving and possibly punching that took place. Some are under the belief that it may have been a work since the fan was a DJ with a radio station that was the main local sponsor for the event.
March 8, 2014
Brie Bella
A picture of WWE stars on the set of the Soup, a popular television show that makes fun of current events. Titus ONeil, JBL, Michael Cole, Jerry Lawler, Dolph Ziggler, Nikki Bella and Brie Bella were recently guests on an episode.
April 12, 2014
Ron Simmons
"There is a lot of truth to that, absolutely. There were guys that came there from other organizations that perhaps they thought they should just skip everybody else and skip right to the top and have things right away the way they wanted. I mean, hey, there are rules and things that you have to abide by as far as this business goes. and you have to respect those. But, when you don't respect those, then hey, we have got a problem. So, yes, we had a lot of guys who came in with that attitude, and John and I would have to be called upon to let them know 'hey, that is not how it works here'." - Ron Simmons on how he and JBL handled backstage politics in WWE
April 1, 2014
JBL
When word spread earlier this week that JBL was the one behind the Twitter account that mocks Vince McMahon, it bothered the former WWE heavyweight champion enough that he felt compelled to release a statement of denial. It has even gotten to the point where JBL has now started blocking fans on Twitter who are harassing him about it.
March 23, 2014
Vince McMahon
Yesterday, speculations arose that JBL was the man that was behind a Twitter account which frequently mocked Vince McMahon with backstage information that only people within the company would be aware of. The WWE commentator took to Facebook to post a long message, denying that he is involved in such a thing. Some still think it may be JBL.
March 20, 2014
JBL
For the longest time, people backstage in WWE have been trying to figure out who was behind a Vince McMahon parody account on Twitter, as a lot of the stuff being said was insider information. Speculations have arisen that JBL might be the culprit. If proven to be true, there could be massive backstage heat between the two, as McMahon is said to hate the account.
March 19, 2014
Vince McMahon
Even though they both participated in the public bashing of Jim Ross on Monday Night Raw, there is said to be no backstage heat towards JBL and Jerry Lawler because everyone is aware that they were only following orders from a vengeful Vince McMahon. Both JBL and Lawler really enjoy their jobs, so it made sense for them to do what McMahon demanded.
March 15, 2014
Jim Ross
The relationship between Jim Ross and Vince McMahon has gotten worse. A lot of fans noticed recently that JBL and Jerry Lawler participated in a segment that bashed Ross. That was done because McMahon was upset with Ross for telling an embarrassing story about him that ended up being covered by TMZ. The jabs may continue in the coming weeks, depending on how McMahon feels.
March 14, 2014
CM Punk
"I don't know any facts on CM Punk. I had the honor of wrestling Punk in his first main events in WWE, including a cage match in Madison Square Garden. I have always enjoyed Punk and being around him. I certainly wish him the best. Hope he comes back, but whatever happens, my best to him." - JBL discussing the backstage heat situation involving CM Punk
March 8, 2014
Michael Cole
On Monday Night Raw, the commentators were instructed to take a few verbal jabs at Jim Ross. Rather than being upset at his former cohorts, Ross took to Twitter to tell fans to ease up on JBL, Michael Cole and Jerry Lawler. He stated that they were simply doing their jobs and saying what they were told to say. The belief is that the orders came from Vince McMahon.
March 4, 2014
JBL
The friendship and business relationship between JBL and Michael Cole continues to grow, as the WWE commentators are now scheduled to compete in a fishing competition. On July 4, in Bermuda, where JBL has a residence, the two of them will be contestants in the world marlin championship. A television deal is being rumored for the event as well.
February 21, 2014
Michael Cole
While fans across the country are trying to voice their opinions on the situation, JBL, Michael Cole and Jerry Lawler find it annoying. The commentating trio were heard on Monday Night Raw being agitated with a group of fans that were trying to get the chants going. They were basically telling those people to go away.
February 12, 2014
Chavo Guerrero
Over the weekend, several wrestlers, including Chris Jericho, Howar Finkel, Jim Ross, MVP, Diamond Dallas Page, Mason Ryan, Chavo Guerrero, Michelle McCool, Vickie Guerrero, JBL and others, noted the passing of Frank Bullock, a WWE employee who did audio for the company. He had been battling cancer before his death.
February 10, 2014
Eddie Guerrero

While it only seems like yesterday to some of his most loyal fans, it has now been a decade since Eddie Guerrero shocked the wrestling world by defeating Brock Lesnar for the WWE championship. JBL, the Monday Night Raw and Smackdown commentator who took the belt from Guerrero, noted the anniversary on Twitter.

February 9, 2014
JBL
As part of his weight loss challenge with Michael Cole, JBL needs to lose another two pounds by Sunday, or else he has to pay a fine by donating money to charity. The former WWE champion has lost 17 pounds thus far, and he needs to lose another 37 pounds before climbing another mountain.
February 7, 2014
Scott Armstrong

Scott Armstrong, former WWE referee and the older brother of Road Dogg, provided some laughs today on Twitter when he posted this Tweet to mock referee and good friend Charles Robinson. It even got a rise out of JBL, who quickly retweeted the message on his own account.

January 30, 2014
El Torito

Some last minute replacements were added to Royal Rumble 2014. Initially, Xavier Woods and Wade Barrett were given spots in the big match, but WWE officials decided to remove them and replace them with JBL and El Torito instead. The feeling backstage was that the fans would react better to those the latter two performers.

January 28, 2014
El Torito

Batista won Royal Rumble 2014 by eliminating Roman Reigns in the end. Other contestants during the match were Alberto Del Rio, Alexander Rusev, Antonio Cesaro, Big E Langston, CM Punk, Cody Rhodes, Damien Sandow, Dean Ambrose, Dolph Ziggler, El Torito, Erick Rowan, Fandango, Goldust, Great Khali, Jack Swagger, JBL, Jey Uso, Jimmy Uso, Kane, Kevin Nash, Kofi Kingston, Luke Harper, R Truth, Rey Mysterio, Ryback, Seth Rollins, Sheamus and the Miz.

January 26, 2014
Josh Mathews

Michael Cole will not be on commentary for Smackdown this week. Instead, JBL will be joined on television by Josh Mathews. No word yet on why Cole did not work the event, but there does not appear to be any backstage heat from WWE towards their long time commentator.

January 22, 2014
JBL

While many within WWE, including JBL, are pushing for him to be called up to the main roster soon, management currently does not have any plans of bringing Adrian Neville up from the developmental program just yet. The plan is to keep him in NXT until at least Wrestlemania.

January 17, 2014
JBL

JBL is a pretty ambitious individual. The WWE commentator will be attempting to climb Mt Elbrus again in July. He had previous attempted the feat, but severe weather conditions in Russia forced him and his fellow climbers to give up on the trek before they made it to the peak.
