TNA negotiates with James Storm

Now faced with the reality that they might lose one of their longest standing performers, TNA has made some calls to James Storm to see if he would be interested in staying with the promotion instead of joining NXT on a full time basis. Reports have surfaced that Storm has not officially signed a long term agreement with WWE just yet. A decision will be needed from the former world heavyweight champion soon.

The former world heavyweight champion has been spotted around the company over the past couple of days.

To add even further fuel to the fire about his upcoming deal with WWE, James Storm was spotted at the performance center earlier in the day. A photo surfaced on social media of a man that looks extremely like him at the venue. Reports have surfaced that Storm is looking to sign a contract that will enable him to be an in ring performer and a trainer for NXT. The veteran could be quite the valuable asset to the brand.

The internet wrestling community was buzzing over rumors that James Storm had attended an NXT event earlier in the month. Well, some further fuel has been added to that particular fire. The former world heavyweight champion is said to be in Orlando today and may have been spotted at the same venue as the Takeover event. Photos have surfaced online of what appears to be Storm entering the facility with developmental trainer, Billy Gunn.

Rumors surfaced over the weekend that James Storm was in attendance at the NXT live event in Nashville. Some even go so far as to say that the former TNA World Heavyweight Champion was actually sitting in the front row. There were also those that said that Storm was watching from the backstage area. To clear up the rumor, he took to social media and let everyone know that he was a bar with his buddy.

After more than a dozen years with the company, James Storm has announced through social media that he is leaving TNA. The former world heavyweight champion stated that he finished up his final obligations by filming a couple episodes of Impact Wrestling this week. Storm also stated that he is not done with professional wrestling and will pursue opportunities in other areas.

No word yet on why he made this decision, but there has not been any reports of backstage heat between the former world heavyweight champion and management. During Impact Wrestling, TNA ran a controversial segment featuring Mickie James and James Storm. I the goal was to get everyone talking about their promotion, then it worked out beautifully because there are a lot of anger being directed towards them. Management was forced to issue a statement because the internet wrestling community was under the assumption that the character had been killed off. Mickie is in fact still alive and recovering.
