On Monday Night Raw, WWE announced that Jake Roberts will be inducted into the hall of fame during Wrestlemania 30 weekend. He will be joining the Ultimate Warrior, who is headlining the class. Management waited until Roberts cleaned up his life before bringing him back.
The return on Monday Night Raw was originally designed as a one shot deal for Jake Roberts. He is not back with WWE on a permanent basis, but the company is keeping the option open of utilizing him again at the Royal Rumble and Wrestlemania 30.
When Dean Ambrose was caught on camera smiling as Jake Roberts placed a snake on him, fans thought that the WWE star was simply marking out at the experience, but it has now been revealed that he was laughing because CM Punk informed him that the snake defecated on his chest.
Jake Roberts revealed that he was hiding in a bus for most of the night to prevent anyone from knowing that he was going to be making his return on Monday Night Raw. Roberts also made sure to not tell anyone but Diamond Dallas Page about his return.
"I appreciate CM Punk so much more now than I ever have. He kneeled down over at the side, got completely out of the picture and allowed me to have that moment. It was incredible. It shows people what a true professional he is. He really raised himself up on my list of people that I respect."
While the Jake Roberts return during Monday Night Raw created quite a buzz with fans, WWE has opted to remove the scene from the Bottom Line show that is aired in the United Kingdom. No word yet on why management decided not to show that.
While he is certainly open to and eager for a return to WWE, the company simply is not interested in Jake Roberts right now. Management didn't even bother to call the legendary performer to show up on the upcoming Old School episode of Monday Night Raw.
