If WWE could finally put together a deal that will entice him to sign, Sting could possibly make his debut in the company by being the person to induct the Ultimate Warrior into the hall of fame during Wrestlemania 30 weekend. The two were tag team partners at the beginning of their careers.
A name that has popped up in discussions backstage in WWE is Scott Hall. Management wants another big name performer to join Ultimate Warrior and Jake Roberts at the hall of fame cermony during Wrestlemania 30. The move would also enable WWE to promote their wellness program.

While most fans are rooting for Sting to eventually join the company, CM Punk has publicly stated that he does not want the legendary performer to join WWE because he feels that it would take the spotlight away from the younger wrestlers who are there full time. He also feels that Sting is well past his prime.
While wrestling fans view it as one of the highest priorities, WWE does not share the same sentiment when it comes to signing Sting. The company definitely would like to bring him on board, but they do not view this as big of a deal as they did with Batista, Brock Lesnar, Rock and Hulk Hogan.
"It's tough, even Hulk Hogan was a tough loss to accept. Sting has been the cornerstone of the company, Jarrett founded the company and I think he might be the best heel in the business, and AJ Styles is just the best athlete I've ever been in the ring with. From three different perspectives it is a tough pill to swallow because they are three of the best. When you don't have them in the company you hope to god that the young talent steps up, guys like Bobby Roode, Austin Aries, and James Storm seem to be stepping up. Will they replace Sting? You can't replace Sting, will they replace AJ? Probably not, AJ is irreplaceable, but will they become their own characters and do really well, yes they will do phenomenally well and it's not about replacing anymore, it's about making new stars."

Royal Rumble 2014 is barely in the books now, but Jake Roberts, who publicly campaigned for a spot in the big match, has revealed that he has started training for Royal Rumble 2015. The WWE legend feels that it would provide some closure to be able to work one final match for the company.

"I honestly don't know. Nobody ever had that discussion with me. So to me, it's interesting. I just go out there and do the best I can. But I think that might have certainly played a part in it. And especially, man, that was awesome, seeing it. So, Titus ONeil, he had texted me. He said, 'Dude, if you're in your hotel room, you have to turn on SportsCenter. I think they'll replay it in probably about 15 minutes.' And he didn't tell me what it was, but he just told me that I was mentioned. And then I saw it, and they mentioned me and the whole Michigan State basketball thing doing the thing, and I was like wow. That's really cool. And the guy that actually started it, he's going to be coming to the show tonight with three of the guys from, I think, three of the guys from the football team. I don't know if that's true, or if it's just three of his buddies. But he is from the football team, so he's going to be coming. It'll be pretty neat to meet him."
- Daniel Bryan
There are talks that Sting has been negotiating with WWE. Some reports are even stating that the discussions have gotten far enough to where they're already discussing names and trademarks. The belief is that WWE wants Sting in a high profile match at Wrestlemania 30.
"Special thanks to the Rock for making my childhood dream come true! U have no idea how many couches and old mattresses I jumped off thinking I was one of y'all! U, Ultimate Warrior, Sting, Legion of Doom, Goldberg and The Undertaker I could watch all day plus many more! I feel like a little kid again. Thanks again Champ!"
- NBA superstar LeBron James
"My guys showed me Warrior's tweets. I was trying to be entertaining with the radio show and took things too far, like I do too often. I have no business inferring anything negative about him. I apologize. He deserves the HOF and respect for what he accomplished in the business. But let me be clear. There is no hypocrisy here. I am not preaching anything. I am sharing my recovery path to show others what is possible. So no pity, bathrooms stalls or groveling. I am doing great. I am an addict and alcoholic working every single day to repair and make the best out of the life I have left. I make mistakes, like that comment, but my recovery has been amazing. Jim does not know this Jake. Without realizing or intending to, I fired the first shot and will take Jim's response without any negativity towards him. I apologize and am putting behind me."
- Jake Roberts to Ultimate Warrior
There are talks that Sting could possibly be leaving TNA, as the company has set up a farewell scenario next week on the second part of Genesis. His contract had actually expired at the end of December, but the WCW legend opted to stick around for a little while longer.
"Well I think in Randy's case, I think Randy he was pissed. I don't think he really wanted to go in. That's just my observation from a far. I never heard that from Randy but I'm sure now that the great Randy Savage has passed on, at some point he will be put in there. But I think there was--you have to accept. You have to go there and show up. And there was some heat there. And I think it was just about to get fixed too, just like the Warrior had a lot of heat there. I think he absolutely would've gone in. Maybe this year cause Randy was just coming out--when he died, Randy was just starting to come out. About to do a comic-con and stuff; do some autograph signings and stuff. So I think you would have seen him in there. Right after; not too long after his death, I don't think it had to happen right away but I would imagine that Randy will be in there. And I believe that Jake Roberts will get in. I think I'll get in. I think there will be a lot of guys that will get in there from Kevin Nash, Scott Hall. I think a lot of those guys will get in. Sometimes it just takes time and I think that Jake doing his turn around that he's done over these last 16-17 months--or 16 months I think it is--people are buzzing everywhere about Jake. So I think at some point, it would be awesome if it was this year but who knows? You never know."
"Are you kidding me? Abso-f**king-lutely. I mean you have to look at how guys drew. And there are fans that don't like the Warrior. There are plenty of fans that don't like Diamond Dallas Page. I get that. And the people who don't like him, really don't like him. But the people who love the Warrior; they f**king love the Warrior. And that was really obvious when we did in New Jersey, New York, Philadelphia--they can be the most critical fans on the planet. Me and Jake Roberts we smoked through autographs while we were there for those couple of days, but Warrior and Hogan came in and were doing the 100 to 150 dollar autograph thing and that line went out the door all day long. So you say what you want about Warrior, but the cat is true. He brought his energy. He brought a dynamic to wrestling at that time that was original. And I wasn't a big fan of his interviews but people fricking loved them! People loved that guy. I was a Jake Roberts guy back in the '80's, so I skate more that way."
