Young Bucks backstage heat

Apparently, WWE is still really bitter about the Young Bucks rejecting their offer last year. The brothers were asked to go in for a tryout because they had become one of the hottest acts on the independent wrestling circuit and internationally. However, Nick Jackson and Matt Jackson opted to remain free agents. Management is said to be furious because they are not used to performers not wanting to work for them.

Some interesting details have come out of Lucha Underground this week. It appears as if the promotion is really wanting to swing for the fences. They reportedly have a plan in place to go big, and it involves Alberto Del Rio and Rey Mysterio. Since he is having a bit of a hard time trying to secure a television contract with one of the national networks, Jeff Jarrett is said to be pitching the idea of doing a test run. WWE Twitter followers

Another social media milestone has been reached by WWE. The company announced that they now have more than 5 million followers on Twitter. That is more than the average amount of people that tune into Monday Night Raw each week, which means that a good amount of the followers are international. Vince McMahon is said to not completely understand social media, but he loves being able to taunt big numbers to investors.

Sarita to Lucha Underground

Since she is one of the most successful female performers on the international wrestling circuit, former TNA star Sarita has been naturally linked as a potential signing for Lucha Underground, a promotion that has been trying to gain ground in the United States. However, a contract signing is unlikely to happen. She recently rejected a deal because her current contract with CMLL prevents her from working shows for a competing promotion.

Alberto Del Rio wins AAA title

In major international wrestling news, Alberto Del Rio has captured the AAA World Heavyweight Championship. He defeated El Texano, Jr, who has held the belt for two years, in the main event of Guerra de Titanes. With the win, Del Rio becomes the first wrestler to ever hold the world championship in AAA, CMLL and WWE. He has long yearned for a return to Mexico because he knew that the promotions down there would push him as a legitimate headliner.
