Wolves stripped

While Eddie Edwards was working vigorously to be able to return from an injury in time for the next taping of Impact Wrestling, TNA opted instead to strip he and Davey Richards of the world tag team championship. The reason for doing that is because the front office does not want to risk either one of them being hurt again. The company views the Wolves as two of their key players in the division, so they want to ensure they stick around.

TNA belt vacant

While reports earlier this week stated that Eddie Edwards was well on the road to recovery and would be returning in time for television, it appears that TNA will be taking the safe approach. At the Impact Wrestling taping on Friday, Edwards and Davey Richards cut a promo and announced that the Wolves were vacating the belt. They cited the real life injury as the reason why. The vacant tag titles will be filled in some manner soon.

Eddie Edwards suffered some sort of injury during the latest round of Impact Wrestling taping, and reports are surfacing that it is a broken foot, which would require him to take some time away from TNA to recover. The duo was set for a major push with management putting the tag team championship on them a couple of weeks ago after having two legendary teams put them over before then.

When word broke out that Bobby Lashley had suffered some sort of injury, the specifics were not immediately revealed. Fans only knew that it was bad enough for him to be forced to cancel a fight with Bellator but not bad enough that he would miss time from TNA events. Reports have now surfaced that the injury involves his hands. While doing MMA training, it would swell up considerably whenever he attempted to grapple or punch.
