Reports surfaced this week that Blue Pants was no longer with NXT. The belief was that management opted to no longer utilize her services because her favorable deal, which enabled her the freedom to make money on the independent wrestling circuit, was alienating the developmental wrestlers. The cult favorite took to social media to instruct her fans to not believe everything they hear, which hints that she might not be done with the company.

Sean Waltman injures arm

Over the weekend, Sean Waltman worked a match at an independent wrestling show. Things did not go as planned. He ended up injuring his arm. Through social media, he revealed that he was going in for a CAT scan and an MRI. Waltman believes that it might be a torn bicep and pectoral muscle. The 43 year old received praise from those in the industry because he found the strength to finish the match.

Gunner kicks fan

A controversial thing happened at an independent wrestling show in North Carolina recently. Gunner was working a match that night. In the audience was a fan who had been bashing him through social media for quite some time now. The person started chanting that he was a TNA reject. Conflicting reports state that the man legally known as Chad Lail kicked the fan in the chest. Lail claims it was in retaliation.

After a series of negotiations, it appears that Gunner and TNA have decided to part ways. The former world television champion announced through social media that was he accepting booking on the independent wrestling circuit now. While there seems to be some slight resentment, he professional opted to thanks everyone that he worked with.

One of the smartest things that WWE has ever done is signing her to a contract to train their divas on the proper in ring techniques. Triple H has started a push recently to give her the recognition that she deserves. He has openly praised her in articles and through social media.

The second developmental wrestler to be released by WWE is Tony Briggs, who told his fans through social media on Friday afternoon. He was very thankful of the company and had nothing but nice things to say about those that trained him and helped him. Briggs vowed to make it back to NXT some day, so there is a very good chance that he will pursue his opportunities on the independent wrestling circuit to prove is worth again.

In a sign that the company is still looking to upgrade their roster, TNA has announced that they have signed two of the top female performers on the independent wrestling circuit. Mia Yim and Marti Belle have been signed to contracts and will be debuting as the newest Knockouts on the roster very soon. Yim, in particular, caught the attention of the internet wrestling community on social media because she is friends with several of the big names.

Rikishi ignores Too Cool

There was a lot of interesting things said and done during the hall of fame induction speech by Rikishi. One of the more interesting ones was the fact that he refused to mention Scotty 2 Hotty and Brian Christopher, two guys that were integral parts of his rise in WWE. Reports have now surfaced that the three of them had a falling out during an event on the independent wrestling circuit. Too Cool both mentioned something on social media in response.

Elijah Burke return

The next series of Impact Wrestling episodes being taped in May should be interesting ones. There are talks that Elijah Burke could be making his return to TNA during that point in time. He even teased it publicly on social media. Burke left the company more than two years ago and has remained active on the independent wrestling circuit. Despite being one of the best talkers in the business, WWE showed no interest in bringing him back on board.
