For those that have not heard, former WWE star Drew McIntyre recently made his debut on Impact Wrestling. He is now under contract to TNA. Many are curious to see how much of a push he is going to receive, as some felt that he should have already been a main event performer in this industry by now. His current company wants to start him off a bit slower than what fans would like. There are talks that he will form a tag team with Crimson.

Alberto Del Rio contract

Right before Impact Wrestling made its debut on Destination America, TNA wanted to make a big splash by signing a well known performer to make a surprise appearance. A $400,000 contract was put on the table for Alberto Del Rio. Management even sweetened the deal by limiting the amount of appearances that he would be required to make during the year. For whatever reasons, the former world heavyweight champion declined the offer.

Awesome Kong to England

When Awesome Kong made her surprising return on the debut episode of Impact Wrestling on Destination America, some wondered if it was a temporary thing, as she left TNA on bad terms. Apparently, everything has been mended, and Kong will be working a full time schedule for the company. Management even released the news that the former Knockouts Champion has been added to the upcoming tour of England as well.

Impact Wrestling ratings

Now that Impact Wrestling has made its debut on Destination America, all eyes are on the ratings to see how they would compare with the numbers that TNA was drawing on Spike TV. Total viewers drawn in for the episode were approximately 368,000, which is a lot less than on the previous network. However, those numbers were good enough to make professional the wrestling the most watched show on the network. That is a positive start for Dixie Carter.

Christy Hemme gives birth

Just by gazing at her incredible looks, a lot can be said about Christy Hemme, but the best compliment you could give her would be about her strong work ethics. On Tuesday, the longtime TNA Knockout gave birth to a baby daughter, whom she named Charlie Rose. Within 24 hours, she was already in New York City, working on the Impact Wrestling debut episode on Destination America. Christy is not expected to miss a lot of time from work.

Prior to them signing a television contract with Destination America, there were a lot of question marks surrounding the TNA personnel. There were some speculations that Tommy Dreamer was not going to be returning to the promotion once they returned to the air due to potential backstage heat. However, those rumors were dispelled last night, as the ECW legend was working as an agent during the debut episode of Impact Wrestling.

Awesome Kong returns

Those that watched the Destination America debut of Impact Wrestling last night, saw the return of Awesome Kong. The move was pretty much kept a well guarded secret from the fans up until the day of the event. Many were skeptical of the rumor because Kong had left TNA on pretty bad terms with management. Very few believed that a reconciliation would ever happen. The two sides have talked things out, and a new contract has been signed.

Impact Wrestling reality TV

When Dixie Carter announced a new television deal with Destination America, a lot of changes were said to be in place when Impact Wrestling made its debut on the new network. One of the directions that TNA is headed is that their weekly television show will have more of a reality television feel to it. Cameras are going to be rolling from all angles. There are even talks that the wrestlers might break character in backstage interviews from time to time.
