While the media is under the impression that Sting has retired as an in ring performer, the former WCW World Heavyweight Champion feels differently. When asked by TMZ about his status, the man legally known as Steve Borden flat out stated that he was not retired. He didn't stick around long enough to answer any follow up questions, so his status for Wrestlemania 32 is still unknown. Sting also refused to answer a question about Hulk Hogan.

In a rather interesting bit of trivia, the last time that Hulk Hogan successfully defended the WWE Heavyweight Championship was at Wrestlemania 3 during his legendary match against Andre the Giant. Many are under the assumption that successful title defenses at the biggest pay per view of the year were a more frequent occurrence for Hogan but they're not.

Some sad news to report. Nick Bockwinkel has passed away. The former world heavyweight champion died at the age of 80. Not a lot of details have been released in regards to his death. Bockwinkel is vastly underrated. At one point in time, he was to the AWA what Ric Flair was to the NWA and Hulk Hogan was to WWE. Additional details on his death should be available later in the week.

During an interview with Radio Yorkshire, Hulk Hogan stated that he was the first person in WWE to recognize the talent and potential in Kevin Owens. Hogan said that he endorsed Owens after watching his second match in NXT. The former world heavyweight champion stated that he absolutely loves how Owens utilizes old school in ring psychology. Hogan also defended Owens for how he looks.

Even though he is no longer with WWE, Hulk Hogan is still relevant enough to the mainstream media for them to interview the former world heavyweight champion. He recently stated that he wished that the company would have simply suspended him for the racial controversy as opposed to firing him. Doing that made Hogan look a lot more guilty than he feel that he is. The belief is that he will be back with World Wrestling Entertainment some day.

Some further details have been revealed about Hogan Beach closing down shop. The restaurant was licensed by Hulk Hogan to use his likeness. The former world heavyweight champion has no ownership interest in the business, however. Reports have surfaced that the restaurant will continue to operate, but they will use a different brand. The belief is that the fee being paid to Hogan was more than what it was worth now.

Back during the 1980s, WWE ran a show in Kansas City on the same day that the NWA was doing one. Harley Race considered that his territory, so he was very pleased when it happened. The former world heavyweight champion reportedly left his own show to go confront the competing promoter. While there, Race reportedly tried to set the ring on fire before pulling out a gun and threatening Hulk Hogan, who had just came out of the bathroom.

When the racial controversy first broke out, management did everything that they could to cut ties with the former world heavyweight champion. The former world heavyweight champion revealed that Vince McMahon never even bothered to talk to him during the entire ordeal. Hogan stated that Triple H was the one that kept in touch with him. HHH was also the one that gave Hogan the bad news about their business separation.
