Jake Roberts afraid of snakes

During a recent interview, Jake Roberts acknowledged that he unlikely would have made it to the top if not for the snake gimmick. The WWE legend also revealed that he was and still is afraid of snakes. Roberts came up with the idea when he was extremely stoned one night. He took the idea to management, and they absolutely loved it, so he ran with it to get a push. Roberts has a long history of substance abuse, so it's not that shocking.

Flair inducting Sting

When the official announcement was initially made, many were under the belief that WWE would have Ric Flair inducting Sting into their hall of fame at Wrestlemania 32 weekend. It made a lot of sense on several levels. For starters, the two of them had one of the greatest rivalries in the history of professional wrestling. Flair helped put Sting on the map. The move also makes sense because Flair is a great talker and is still popular with fans.

While doing an interview to discuss the death of Lemmy Kilmister, the lead singer of Motorhead and the man that wrote his iconic theme song, Triple H revealed that he was a bit intimidated because he was sitting at the funeral with some of the greatest performers in rock music history. HHH noted that he was sat in the front row, right next to Gene Simmons, the legendary bass guitarist and co lead singer of KISS.

In a sign that the group is here to stay, WWE has just produced new Social Outcasts tee shirts. Management has a history of pushing performers who can move merchandise, so Bo Dallas, Curtis Axel, Heath Slater and Adam Rose might finally receive pushes if their stable generates a lot of a sales. The front of the shirt has their name with a hash tag in front of it, while the back has the phrase "Now Trending" across the top.

There's a good amount of people on this planet that would love for WWE do another brand split, and one of them happens to be Roman Reigns, the reigning world heavyweight champion of the promotion. The second generation star told the Associated Press that there is a history of a brand split doing really well for World Wrestling Entertainment. Reigns believes that it could enable them to create some pretty cool story lines.

While doing a podcast interview, Bobby Roode was asked about his start in professional wrestling. The TNA star revealed that Val Venis trained him for absolutely free. This was right around the time where Venis was set to make his debut in WWE. The two of them lived within miles of one another in Canada and met one day. Venis told Roode that he had a ring in his backyard and invited him to come over to check it out. The rest is history.

The company has a long history of giving big pushes to performers who can generate revenue through their merchandise.

Matt Hardy bleeds badly

Over the weekend, Matt Hardy ran his annual WrestleCade event for the fourth straight year. In the main event, he lost the title to Jeff Jarrett, who becomes the second champion in the history of the promotion. The match was very notable because Hardy was bleeding profusely after a guitar shot. Jarrett was unable to make the guitar break completely, so Hardy took the blow at full force.
