For the longest time now, the internet wrestling community have blamed Eric Bischoff and Vince Russo for the awkward and short lived heel turn that Goldberg did in WCW back in 2000. The former world heavyweight champion has now explained that the reason behind that was because he asked to do a face turn again. The motive behind that was because he came backstage and saw a young Make-A-Wish girl crying at his on screen antics.

Over the past several months, Dean Ambrose has been losing a good amount of momentum, despite being one of the better performers in WWE. Management wants to help him turn things back around, so the idea of a heel turn is being tossed around backstage. Ambrose would do so during the main event of Payback. He would then join the Authority, which should cause quite a reaction from the audience because they like him a lot as a face.

On the latest episode of Smackdown, Erick Rowan turned heel by attacking Fandango after he lost a match to Luke Harper. The heel turn was set up by a false stare down between the two former Wyatt Family members. The reason for the move is because management really had nothing for Rowan to do. Harper had a little momentum, but it wasn't anything major. The decision to put them back together should provide depth to the tag team division.

There is some confusion backstage in WWE in regards to how Los Matadores are being used. They recently did a subtle heel turn because the front office needed someone to fill that role during a title match at Wrestlemania. However, many are questioning the decision to stick with that plan because El Torito was specifically designed to entertain the children. Diego and Fernando worked as heels during the Smackdown taping this week.

As some of you may have seen on Impact Wrestling, Taryn Terrell did a heel turn and introduced a new stable called the Dollhouse (with Mia Yim and Marti Belle). The trio attacked Awesome Kong to help Taryn retain the belt. That has led many to wonder what Kong would do next. There are rumors floating around that TNA is considering a face turn for her. She would debut a kinder and gentler version of her character.

Since Paige might not be available because she is filming a movie and Naomi just did a heel turn, WWE is looking into the possibility of Nikki Bella working as a baby face when she defends the belt against the latter at Extreme Rules on Sunday night. They even tested out the audience reaction at a live event during the tour of Europe last week. The face turn might not necessarily be a full time thing, however, as management likes the Bella Twins as is.

Before AJ Lee stunned the professional wrestling world by announcing her early retirement from WWE, there were plans in place for her to turn do a heel turn and challenge Paige, who is still being scheduled to capture the Divas Championship from Nikki Bella at Extreme Rules. The creative department had to quickly find alternative plans. Since they already wrote the story, they simply decided to replace AJ with Naomi.

On Monday Night Raw, Naomi did a heel turn by attacking Paige after the latter eliminated the former to win the divas battle royal, which was held to determine the top contender for the championship. The plan right now is for Nikki Bella to drop the belt and build up some heel challenger for the Pale Princess to work with for the next couple of months. WWE basically just set up the first title defense with the segment tonight.

Some good news if you're a fan of the New Day. Since management could not get them over as baby faces, the plan now is to turn them into heel. As seen on Monday Night Raw, Xavier Woods and Big E Langston were a lot more aggressive in the ring than normal. They came close to cheating on a couple of occasions. The losses and boos will eventually cause them to go evil. This would mark the first heel turn for Kofi Kingston since joining WWE.
