Now that the charges have been dropped, Heath Slater is no longer in trouble with WWE. However, things are a bit more complicated than that because public relations is always a factor for the company. Slater is being kept around because management does not want to be viewed as one that rushes to judgment and overreacts. They allowed the legal process to go the distance. However, they will not use him too much to avoid drawing more attention.

The status of Heath Slater is now in question again. Earlier in the week, reports surfaced that he was being allowed back at WWE live events, now that his assault charges have been dropped. It was said that the Royal Rumble would be his opportunity to make a return. Slater was actually backstage last night at the pay per view, but management decided to not utilize him. That has led to speculations that they might be hesitant to use him again.

Now that the assault charges against him have been dropped, some are wondering about when the Heath Slater return to WWE is going to take place. As of right now, there is no clear cut date or time frame for that to happen. The belief is that management will continue to keep him on the sidelines because there is still a lingering fear that his presence may bring about some unwanted negative publicity. Slater is unlikely for the Royal Rumble.

In what should be quite a relief for the performer and the company, assault charges against Heath Slater have been dropped. The official reason is that the statute of limitation had passed, as the alleged incident took place back in 2011. WWE has largely kept Slater away from their product since it was announced that he was in legal trouble. In addition to being kept off of Monday Night Raw and Smackdown, he was also banned from live events.

Considering how quick the company was to distance themselves from him shortly after the charges were filed, it should come as no surprise to anyone that WWE is keeping Heath Slater away from their product as much as they can. The former tag team champion has not worked a televised match in all of December. Reports also surfaced over the weekend that he has been replaced at live events as well. Slater is unlikely to return until the case is over.
