Hornswoggle vs Heath Slater

In one of the more heartwarming moments, WWE did Hornswoggle a huge favor. During a live event in his hometown of Green Bay, Road Dogg and John Laurinaitis decided to use their backstage power and allow the diminutive performer to work a match against Heath Slater, which he won. The man legally known as Dylan Postl was also allowed to bring his son to the ring.

WWE not pushing Neville

In the power ranking, Adrian Neville is listed as the 11th hottest performer in WWE. In reality, though, he has been severely demoted since being given a slight push during his debut. The high flyer has been dropped down the ladder and is now working with the likes of Adam Rose, Bo Dallas, Stardust and Heath Slater. A main event push is highly unlikely at this point in time.

Heath Slater wins match

A very interesting stat was just discovered. Up until May 25, 2015, Heath Slater had worked 44 matches. He lost all of them. On that fateful night in Long Island, the former leader of 3MB was paired up against Adam Rose, who had just 5 wins in 61 matches himself. Slater got the shocking victory, which was his first of the calendar year. There is a very good chance that this particular victory might end up being his only victory until 2016.

Heath Slater status

Now that the charges have been dropped, Heath Slater is no longer in trouble with WWE. However, things are a bit more complicated than that because public relations is always a factor for the company. Slater is being kept around because management does not want to be viewed as one that rushes to judgment and overreacts. They allowed the legal process to go the distance. However, they will not use him too much to avoid drawing more attention.

Heath Slater backstage

The status of Heath Slater is now in question again. Earlier in the week, reports surfaced that he was being allowed back at WWE live events, now that his assault charges have been dropped. It was said that the Royal Rumble would be his opportunity to make a return. Slater was actually backstage last night at the pay per view, but management decided to not utilize him. That has led to speculations that they might be hesitant to use him again.

Heath Slater return

Now that the assault charges against him have been dropped, some are wondering about when the Heath Slater return to WWE is going to take place. As of right now, there is no clear cut date or time frame for that to happen. The belief is that management will continue to keep him on the sidelines because there is still a lingering fear that his presence may bring about some unwanted negative publicity. Slater is unlikely for the Royal Rumble.
