During a recent interview with the Daily Pioneer, the Great Khali revealed that he was once signed with WCW. He spent about six or seven months under contract with the promotion, where he was being trained and developed. When Vince McMahon purchased the company, WWE opted against buying his contract since he was so green at the time.

As some of you may already know, Ricardo Rodriguez left WWE because the company refused to give him a chance as a full time in ring performer. He has since worked in Mexico, Puerto Rico and the independent wrestling circuit in the United States in such a capacity. Well, it has now been reported that Rodriguez has accepted a job in India where he is now helping Great Khali train new students.

The former world heavyweight champion is no longer associated with the company. Khali now has a business relationship with TNA. Since the company no longer has the expensive services of the Great Khali, they are forced to find other wrestlers to send to India to promote. The latest person to be sent to that country is Mark Henry, and he is on his way there this week. His promotional duties aren't for an upcoming tour, however. He is simply there to bring a little more awareness for WWE since they are televised there.

A hilarious claim was made on the latest episode of the Chris Jericho podcast interview show. The Great Khali stated that even though he may not be able to run nowadays, he can still work a match. In fact, he states that he could probably work an hour long match if that opportunity ever rises. The former world heavyweight champion feels that fans underrate his abilities.
