As has been reported over the last couple of weeks, Goldust should be ending his term as a performer on the main roster after Wrestlemania. He will remain with WWE in some sort of capacity. While it was initially reported that he was going to be utilized as a backstage agent and producer, there are now talks that he could be used as a trainer in the developmental program. The former Intercontinental Champion might even work matches in NXT.

In the second match of Fast Lane, Goldust was able to get the pin fall victory over his brother Cody Rhodes, whose loss was protected because it seemed that the three count came out of nowhere. WWE was hoping for a better reaction from the audience, but the story hasn't been told well enough to get the crowd to invest themselves. In a backstage segment after the match, Stardust assaulted his older brother in front of Dusty Rhodes.

For those of you who are nostalgic and sentimental, it has now come time for us to truly appreciate the in ring work and the character of Goldust, as the performer is wrapping up his career as an active performer. According to reports, he should be done with that aspect of his career around Wrestlemania. He will then transition into a full time backstage agent and producer for WWE. Cody Rhodes is expected to go back to being solo.
