I don't see Mickie James doing anything with the title if she were to win, so they should just keep it on Maryse. There's basically Beth Phoenix and Rosa Mendes for her to face. Don't think there are many other challengers for Maryse, either, though.
But then at least we can see a Gail Kim/Maryse feud where the title can even go to Gail Kim. Keeps Maryse relevant for a while longer and there's really no harm done.

Oh yeah, that's right. They do have an easy way to keep her relevant if she were to lose the title.
Still, I just wouldn't put the title on Mickie James right now. Seems pointless since there won't even be much for her to do. Maybe a face/face feud with Gail Kim but it'd work better if Gail were to face Maryse for the title IMO. Not that either way is really terrible but just keeping it on Maryse for now is easier/better.

After thinking about it, I think it does make more logical sense for Maryse to retain. For a start, Mickie has feuded with Beth already, and I don't think they are going to give Rosa a title shot, and they certainly aren't giving one to Jillian. Second, keeping it on Maryse gives them the opportunity for a feud with Gail, who can then go on to feud with Beth Phoenix at some point.
I suppose if Mickie wins there's always Alicia, but I don't really think she's going to challenge for a title any time soon, either. One has to assume that they moved Gail over to feud with someone over the title, and as much as I'd like that someone to be Mickie, a face-face feud probably won't happen.

I would actutally like to see Maryse valet for The Miz as i just think that its a nice fit and that would be good for The Miz and i would take as not soo talented women out of wrestling matches as much.
Then as well a nice storyline we get to see a match in the Diva divison which actually has two talented women rather than one good women carring the other one to a barely watchable match. Which is either Mickie vs Beth or a face vs face program between Gail and Mickie. Altough if Maryse winning means that she will enter a program with Gail Kim which Gail Kim ends up winning then i am all for it as it provides the same fresh and good matches for example i really want to see Beth vs Gail Kim
