Welcome once again to another Band of the Week. This weeks band is a band picked out by my good friend Charismatic Enigma.
![]() Peterborough, Ontario's own Hawk Nelson are a pop-punk band on Christian label Tooth and Nail records, and have been the one of the labels most successful acts. There discography includes 4 full length records, 5 EP's, and 3 singles. In 2006 they had a number one video on VH1's Top 20 Countdown for the first single off of there third full length, the video was for "One Thing I Have Left" off of "Smile, It's The End of The World". They were also nominated for a Grammy this year for best recording package for there recent release "Hawk Nelson Is My Friend". They are also one of the most decorated band in there country winning several of Canada's biggest honor the Covenant Awards. There music is catchy, fun, and from a place within. It's pop-punk, but with a different, more spritual twist. Often times there lyrics go spefically into the realm of religion. I think you'll all enjoy Hawk Nelson, and remember request as usual will be taken. You've ALL just been LOVE STRUCK! Not bad.
I mean, it's good, but they don't sound like anything I'd listen to often.

Guess not alot of us were real big fans of Hawk Nelson. Oh well on to this week..... ![]() Attack Attack! is a band from Columbus, Ohio. They have only recently started a tour with large Vegas act Escape The Fate, as well as covering Katy Perry's "I Kissed A Girl" for the compilation CD Punk Goes Pop 2, as well as releasing there first full-length album "Someday Came Suddenly" which topped out at number 25 on the Billboard Independent Chart, and also breaking the Top 200. There music at time seems spastic, mainly due to their emphasis on screaming hardcore parts mixed with guitarist Johnny Franck's clean vocals, which are often times set on auto-tune giving them a ridiculousy poppy sound mixed with there harder edge. Let's get to the most important part...The music! From 2008's "Someday Came Suddenly" "The People's Elbow" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SQxdhpaVRdQ "Stick Stickly" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TihgRI7AJ3o "What Happens If I Can't Check My Myspace When We Get There" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IJ7xEiqa4GM "I Kissed A Girl" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PmSB9-shtmk Thanks for listening. Feedback, as always is appreciated. You've just been LOVE STRUCK!

Wow. I didn't like that at all.
The only part I liked was in "I Kissed A Girl" when it got hard. I wasn't really enjoying the song, but then I was like "ooooh" then it went back and I was like "awww" :( Didn't care much for the other songs. Guess I just don't care for the guy's voice.
