![]() Road Warriors Considered For Hall of Fame Induction The Road Warriors are being discussed as candidates to be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame at Wrestlemania 26 in Glendale, Arizona. Considering how they're easily one of the best tag teams that this business has ever seen, it would make a lot of sense for WWE to induct. It would also give some credibility to the WWE Hall of Fame, which has been criticized over the years for inductee people based on their relationship with Vince McMahon and their marketing potential. It's going to be interesting to see what would happen at the induction ceremony, though. Road Warrior Hawk passed away in 2003, and Road Warrior Animal is said to be a bit upset with WWE for not hiring him. The 49 year old, whose real name is Joe Laurinaitis, has been trying to get a backstage job with WWE for quite some time now. His brother John Laurinaitis is a high ranking executive for the company. Closing Thoughts I'm one of the biggest Road Warriors fan that you will find on the planet. I hope they do get inducted because they're better than most of the people that are already in the hall of fame. It's going to be a bit sad, though, to not see Hawk up there on the podium.

They're not already in? Jesus, they're the best tag team to walk the Earth, their NWA/WCW/AWA and even WWF credentials speak for themselves

WWE even ranked them as the best tag team in WWE history. They should already be inducted into the Hall of Fame. After Hawk had passed away would have been a perfect opportunity to induct them, as a sign of respect I suppose. And as mentioned, adding The Road Warriors would definitely give the Hall of Fame some credibility.

If it were a real hall of fame, I'd care.
Legion of Doom / Road Warriors, whichever name you know them by. Easily one of the best tag teams ever and if you said they were *the* best I would not be able to argue.

I almost died laughing once. I saw a debate on another message board where the Hardys and Edge & Christian were actually mentioned in the same breath with the Road Warriors.

I'm not going to lie, I always prefered yhe original Demolition (Ax& Smash)over the Road Warriors. I just loved every one of their matches. I would seriously mark out if they were inducted. Although I dont know if that'll happen. I guess it depends on if Bill Eadie (Ax) is still mad at Vince. I met Bill and Barry Darsow(Smash). I'm not trying to diss the Road Warriors though. They are just as worthy as Demolition for the HOF. It's just my personal preferance.
I'm curious, though, why Admin laughs at people who mention the Hardys in the same breath. I mean, the Hardys have a VERY different style than the Road Warriors, who were basically power guys. The Hardys were risk taking highflyers. But does that mean they arent as good? I'd have to disagree. The Hardys innovated things that were never seen before in WWE, and some that havent been seen since. The Hardys were THE tag team of their time period. I think that they are just a good a tag team in their time as the Road Warriors were in theirs. I'm about to say sometthing that may anger you all, but it's the honest to god truth, so help me god. Individually Animal & Hawk weren't anything special. Now when your finished booing at me, I'll explain. You see, Hawk couldent wrestle well at all. But, he had charisma like you wouldent believe. Animal was his polar opposite. Adequete wrestling skill, not very charismatic. And that is what made them an amazing team. The balanced each other out perfectly. Animal provided the wrestling, Hawk, the charisma. That's what made them them one of the best teams of their time. Together, they were the total package. Sorry for the long post, but I had to post my thoughts...

First of all, if you think I'm basing that on the difference in style, then you obviously have no idea how my mind works. The Midnight Express, the Freebirds and the Andersons all had different styles from the Road Warriors, but I still consider them to be great.
In my eyes, the Hardys are not great; they're just extremely marketable. You might want to argue that the Hardys were more exciting. However, the Hardys rank below the Motor City Machine Guns and the Briscoes when it comes to doing the exciting style of wrestling. I was spoiled to have grown up during the golden era of tag team wrestling. I've seen so many great tag teams during my days. I remember what tag team wrestling should be, which is a reason why I hold Beer Money and Team 3D so high; they're a throwback to that era. In that era, the Road Warriors were something that people had never seen before. They took the entire wrestling scene by storm. You send them to a territory, and they would electrify the audience. It brought chills to the spine. As much as I liked them, Demolition did not come even close to having that type of impact. Very few people ever have.
