TNA iMPACT! Video Game Update

Contrary to popular belief, the TNA iMPACT! video game has not yet met its demise.

TNA may end up with the sole rights to the video game title pretty soon. When Warner Brothers picked up several game titles from Midway, who was forced to file for bankruptcy, the rights to the TNA video game is up for grabs. With Warner Brothers showing absolutely no interest in keeping the title, it could end up being signed over to TNA.

If TNA were to end up with the rights to the video game, then Dixie Carter and company can start shopping the title around to various distributors.

As of right now, though, the company is keeping pretty quiet about the status of the video. They're waiting for more confirmation before issuing an official release.

Closing Thoughts

Hopefully, this happens because the next TNA video game should be much more fun with the addition of Bobby Lashley, D'Angelo Dinero, and Hulk Hogan.

The last game wasn't bad. The sad part was that everyone played the same, Nash shouldn't be able to do A.J. Styles stuff. Fix that and you have a really good game.

I didn't expect TNA to have a perfect video game first up and they didn't.

But yeah, fix the minor stuff and the major stuff should be good.

Hopefully they can put all they wanted to into the second game. In addition to what's been mentioned, what hurt it for a lot of people was that a lot of content ended up being cut and it wasn't the game it was promised to be.

who cares this game sucked. I bought it and was hyped until I played it. I tried to give it a chance but I took it back and got my money back. I kept the dvd it came with

i bet the reason why the TNA game suck was because Midway wasn't prepared with coming up with a wrestling game, they rushed the production of the game, and then Midway went out of business. and if TNA want to make another game, then THQ is clearly out of the running, since THQ announced that they will be keeping the WWE video game license a little longer. well THQ should just look for a video game maker that willing to spend more time on creating the game than rushing it. the clear choices would be Rock Star Games (the maker of the Grand Thief Auto series), EA Games/Sports (the maker of The Sims, most sports games like Madden NFL football, NBA, NCAA, NHL and NASCAR, and of course the final WCW video games in the late 90s and early 2000s), and a bunch of others.
