Regardless of popular belief, hardcore wrestling is alive and well in America.
And I say this without including the Deathmatch scene. No offense or disrepect to death match wrestlers, but I dislike it when the bumps overshadow the actually technically of the wrestling. This usually makes it first into a borefest (that is, if you don't eventually feel like a horrible person for watching Sick Nick Mondo take a weedwacker to the chest.. I think someone talked about that earlier.
CZW thankfully has alot to offer in the way of hardcore beyond the deathmatch scene. It's light heavyweight division especially. Watch any recent Best Of The Best or Cage Of Death and you'll see neither 3 hours of someone being struck with a blunt object nor 3 hours of two guys just rolling on the floor. Which is just how most of us like it.
If you can somehow get a hold of some of their videos, IWA Mid South is still alive and well. And although Pro Wrestling Guerrilla on the west coast isn't a predominantly hardcore scene, they've been known to have their share of bloody matches in addition to the tremendously talented roster.
But as far as my opinion goes, the most talented hardcore matches you can find will be in Ring Of Honor. Check out this link:

We haven't seen too much hardcore from TNA lately, but they're miles away infront of WWE.
Or should I say WWE-PG. "The Throwback?" Come the f%#@ on.
