Linda McMahon at Wrestlemania

A couple of fans that have been attending Wrestlemania related events this week have noticed a familiar face. Linda McMahon is in town for the big pay per view. She was spotted hanging out and catching up with the Big Show. Linda also posted a couple of photos on social media. It is highly unlikely that she makes an appearance during the show on Sunday. For what it's worth, there are still no signs of Shane McMahon this week.

Hideo Itami winning

There was a back and forth backstage in NXT when it came to deciding who would win the tournament to wrestle at Wrestlemania. In the end, though, the front office decided to go with the business decision. Since they wanted to draw in fans from Japan, where WWE will be touring this summer, Hideo Itami was chosen. Management even further capitalized on the situation by having Japanese legend Tatsumi Fujinami endorsing Itami in the ring.

Rey Mysterio not retiring

Earlier in the week, it was reported that Rey Mysterio had told a CMLL wrestler that he was going to be retiring because of what happened with Perro Aguayo. The unnamed wrestler might have been lying. While doing a club appearance near Wrestlemania, Mysterio informed fans there that he had no intentions of retiring at the moment. A lot of people in the industry are curious to see just how long it will be before he steps back into the ring.

Adrian Neville promotion

As of this very moment, it looks like WWE has Adrian Neville penciled in for a promotion to the main roster. The way they're going to do this is by having him winning the NXT tournament and earning a spot in the Andre the Giant memorial battle royal. The front office feels that it would be a good way to introduce him to their mainstream fans. There is even a slight chance that he might be given the win at Wrestlemania as a way to springboard his push.

While it may seem like a non factor to most fans, there is actually a debate going on backstage in WWE right now about which match will open the kickoff show for Wrestlemania this year. Initially, Vince McMahon had the fatal four way for the tag team championship penciled in as the first match of the show. Now, with the Andre the Giant memorial battle royal being bumped off the main card, he is considering using that as the opener.

Roman Reigns losing

Some possible good news for fans who are against the idea of Roman Reigns becoming the top star in WWE. There is now a really good chance that he does not get that opportunity because rumors have surfaced that Triple H has finally convinced Vince McMahon to let Brock Lesnar retain the heavyweight championship. The widespread feeling is that giving the belt to Reigns will actually hurt him in the long run because the fans are so against it right now.

First and foremost, Tatsumi Fujinami is one of those guys that really deserve to be inducted into any and every wrestling hall of fame on the planet. However, there is some business involved to WWE choosing to honor him at Wrestlemania. The front office wanted to lure fans in Japan to watch the pay per view. They would love to observe one of their own being celebrated overseas. World Wrestling Entertainment is doing two shows in Tokyo in July.

Roman Reigns butt

To promote Wrestlemania, Roman Reigns was sent by WWE to the Conan O'Brien show for an appearance. While there, he showed a sense of humor by telling a story about how a female fans once grabbed his butt as he was making his entrance into the arena through the audience. Security asked Reigns if he wanted her to be kicked out, but the former Shield member instructed them to let it slide. She was allowed to stay at the show.

During a recent interview, Jonathan Coachman confirmed that there is an element of jealousy in the locker room when someone gets a part time contract similar to what WWE gave Brock Lesnar this week. The front office has repeatedly tried to explain to the performers that until fans are paying big money to come see them, they're not going to be treated like stars. There's a pecking order in the company, and it's best to try to move up.
