At a live event in Texas over the weekend, Darren Young might have suffered some sort of injury. His match with Fandango was extremely short, and the ending was awkward, as Young was counted out after delivering a flying ax handle. Agents came out to the ringside area to check on Young and helped him limp backstage.

Bray Wyatt received a black eye during a big live event at Madison Square Garden in New York City over the weeken due to an errant punch by Ric Flair. Reports are stating that the incident happened because Flair forgot that he was wearing his hall of fame ring. There is said to be no backstage heat between the two due to the injury.

Management wants people to believe that his 15th title reign is very important, so they might keep the belt on him a long time to emphasize that.

During a WWE live event in Toronto, Santino Marella announced to the fans in attendance that he has decided to retire from professional wrestling as an in ring performer. He revealed that he has suffered yet another neck injury and has decided that it would not be safe for his long term health to keep wrestling. Since he recently signed a long term contract extension with WWE, there is a chance that Marella could remain with the company in another capacity.

Prior to his injury, there were plans in place to have MVP winning the TNA World Heavyweight Championship from Eric Young. Since the company needed a heel champion to be the antagonist against Kurt Angle and his new on screen authority role, the belt went to Bobby Lashley instead. The incident took place as he was in the corner and receiving head butts from Wyatt. Some are speculating that one of the strikes was not nearly as protected as it should have been. The referee halted the match to have trainers check on Cena, who did manage to finish the match despite being in a lot of pain.

During the latest WWE NXT show, an interesting injury was revealed. Adrian Neville had four teeth knocked out of his mouth during a backstage segment with Brodus Clay, who has been down in developmental for several months now. To calm down the Money in the Bank 2014 audience, WWE opted to go with another divas match as a filler. Layla El and Summer Rae battled in a match, where Fandango served as the special guest referee. Fans were so disinterested in the segment that a CM Punk chant broke out. In the end, Layla caught Summer with a kick to gain the pinfall. Layla and Fandango kissed after the match, while a despondent Summer looked on.
