Austin boycotting Wrestlemania

In a rather bold statement, Steve Austin revealed during a podcast interview that he was going to boycott Wrestlemania next year if WWE does not induct Michael Hayes into the hall of fame as an individual. Austin feels that Hayes should have been inducted when the pay per view was in Georgia. He thinks that Dallas would be a suitable place because of the history that Hayes and the Von Erich family created in that region.

A very interesting detail about Hulk Hogan was revealed by Greg Gagne during a recent interview. He stated that when Hogan left the AWA, which was owned by his family, he did so in a manner that was not very professional. Hogan simply stopped showing up for work. When Gagne called Hogan, Hogan informed him that Vince McMahon was paying him more money to not show up for work. Hogan joined WWE shortly thereafter.

Though it is now a billion dollar company, WWE was once so bad that it came close to being bankrupt. Jim Ross revealed during an interview that things were so bad with the company that several executives walked away because they did not want to be a part of a sinking ship. Ross noted that his good friend, JJ Dillon, had no choice but to resign because he could not feed his family on the pay cut that the company wanted him to take.

Angle said that the family would like for people to respect their privacy in the matter. They also would like to have some time to mourn the loss of a family member. Angle said he will continue to support his family.

Whenever someone signs a developmental deal with WWE, they generally move to Florida to be closer to the performance center. Kevin Owens did that. However, now that he is on the main roster, he asked management if he could move back to Montreal to make it easier on his wife and kids. Owens wanted them to be closer to his wife's family. The front office gave him permission to do so.

In a rather interesting development, it has now been revealed that Jeff Jarrett has sold his remaining shares of TNA. He no longer is a minority owner in the promotion. The agreement was part of the deal that he made with Dixie Carter when she agreed to do an invasion story line with GFW. Now, the Carter family can do whatever deals they want without having to worry about needing permission from Jarrett.

When Randy Orton recently did a segment with the Wyatt Family, the belief was that WWE was setting him up to the mystery tag team partner of Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns at Night of Champions. However, conflicting reports are now surfacing, saying that the segment was done to write Orton off of television. The former world heavyweight champion has been campaigning for a lighter schedule from management.
