When asked about what the loss of Hulk Hogan meant to WWE, Vince McMahon opted to downplay the situation by stating that it has no material effect on them. This comes on the heel of the company losing at least $50 million in stock because of his departure. Hogan also moved a good amount of merchandise and was a proven draw at live events, especially in the international market.

In a fine example of how much WWE values their live event show at Madison Square Garden in New York City, Brock Lesnar has been booked to work the event. That was one of the stipulations that management inserted into his new and higher paying contract. The company has treated the show with as much importance as they do the pay per view events.

As many of you already know, Miz was pegged as a replacement for Hulk Hogan on Tough Enough. Now, word has come out that Shawn Michaels has signed on to become the special guest general manager when WWE does a couple of live events in Australia next month. There were rumors that Ric Flair was in line for both gigs, but he could not come to an agreement with the front office.

After creating quite a buzz with his debut in NXT, Samoa Joe has been a bit quiet lately. A big reason for that is because Kevin Owens was promoted to the main roster in WWE. The belief is that Joe will be moved into a title program with Finn Balor soon, as the two of them have been headlining live events together recently. That could be the setup for television.

Since he was the son of the owner of WWE, Shane McMahon was worried that the wrestlers in the locker room were going to resent him for the perceived nepotism. Hard as it may be to believe, but WWE is moving Zack Ryder even further away from the main roster. The veteran performer is now a full time participant in NXT live events. In a rather interesting development, WWE has decided to pull Kevin Owens from the upcoming series of live events. The NXT Heavyweight Champion was initially scheduled to work matches against John Cena at these shows. Since he has been pulled, the front office decided to add Wade Barrett as a replacement. He will more than likely work the matches against Cena. No word yet on why Owens was pulled for the weekend.

Since WWE has been putting on a full court press on trying to get Ronda Rousey to work a match at Wrestlemania, the belief is that someone from the company will be there in person when she has her next fight. Things aren't as certain since the event is going to be taking place in Brazil. Triple H is unlikely to attend since he spends his weekends on the road, directing the live events. Stephanie McMahon might be able to make it, though.
