While the internet wrestling community has been mocking TNA for putting the world heavyweight championship on Matt Hardy, there are rumors floating around that the reign might not last all that long. There are those that believe that the move was simply done to put more heat on Ethan Carter. Well, that is the opportunity that TNA is about to give him when they do a tour of his home country of England. Spud will be challenging Ethan Carter for the belt during that tour. Close observers of TNA have already known for quite some time now that Ethan Carter would some day carry the world heavyweight championship. During an interview with the Mirror, Kurt Angle essentially confirmed it. He states that while he does not know all the specifics of the push, he does now that management wants to put the top belt on him before the year ends. Angle said that there is a possibility he might be the one to drop it to him.

With the way that things are going right now, you can pretty much expect to see Ethan Carter holding the TNA World Heavyweight Championship some day. Some are even saying that it could take place as early as the end of 2015. Management has been extremely impressed with his overall work. Carter has transformed himself into being one of the best talkers in the company, and his in ring work is more than adequate. The push will continue.
