For the longest time now, the internet wrestling community have blamed Eric Bischoff and Vince Russo for the awkward and short lived heel turn that Goldberg did in WCW back in 2000. The former world heavyweight champion has now explained that the reason behind that was because he asked to do a face turn again. The motive behind that was because he came backstage and saw a young Make-A-Wish girl crying at his on screen antics.

When asked about why Aces and Eights died down, Devon mentioned that a big reason for their demise was because the creator of the stable was no longer allowed to provide feedback in the creative department. While he refused to mention the name of the person that came up with the idea, the longstanding belief was that it was Eric Bischoff. Not coincidentally, TNA removed Bischoff from the creative department around that point in time.

During a recent interview with Jason Hervey, some details were revealed about the time that Eric Bischoff tried to purchase WCW. Contrary to popular beliefs, Vince McMahon did not end up buying the rights to the promotion because he won a bidding war. McMahon simply ended up with the deal because Bischoff and Fusient Media backed off once the network stated there would be no time slot for wrestling. Bischoff had investors already lined up.
