Alberto Del Rio
A day before the company is expected to eliminate a lot of jobs, WWE has come to terms on the release of Ricardo Rodriguez, who stated that the decision belonged to him. The former manager of Alberto Del Rio reiterated that he wanted to be an in ring performer again. Rodriguez had been training in developmental in hopes that management would finally give him a chance. When that opportunity appeared dismal, he opted to move on to the next chapter of his career.

Rock
It is no secret that WWE would love for the Rock to be the centerpiece attraction at Wrestlemania 31. However, the possibility of that happening is becoming more and more unclear by the day. The studios have decided to move the release date of Fast and Furious 7, which features Rock in a big role, up a bit. It will now be shown in the theaters a few days after Wrestlemania. That means that the Rock will be needed to travel the world to do promotion for the film. His availability to WWE is in question.
July 10, 2014
Vince McMahon
When WWE stocks tanked really badly earlier this year, there were rumors floating around that Vince McMahon wanted his company to cut approximately $20 million in spending. That number has now been confirmed. No word yet on how close WWE has gotten to that goal, but the release of several performers from their contracts helped out quite a bit. More wrestlers could be let go in the near future to get closer to the $20 million mark.
July 7, 2014
Vickie Guerrero
Anyone that follows professional wrestling closely, knows that WWE performers spend a ridiculous amount of time on the road for the company. Vickie Guerrero became one of the latest people to grow weary of that lifestyle and requested her release from her contract. Now that she is free of that hectic obligation, the former WWE diva is now on vacation in Hawaii.
July 6, 2014
Vince McMahon
Since the company has been undergoing budget cuts, a lot of things are changing in WWE. In addition to several long time performers being given a release from their contract, Vince McMahon and company have also scaled things back on the WWE Network. Tough Enough has been pushed back, and there might not be a second season of Legends House. At one point in time, it was a certainty that the show would be receiving another season.
July 6, 2014
Cameron
Sensing that they were going to receive quite a bit of backlash for overreacting to the arrest and having double standards for their performers, WWE has decided to reinstate Emma after giving her a release earlier in the day. Some have cited the previous arrest of Jack Swagger and Cameron, who actually attempted to bribe a police officer, as a reason why WWE was forced to change their minds.
July 2, 2014
Emma
A day after she was arrested for shoplifting, WWE has released Emma from her contract. There were those in the company that believed that she would be allowed to ride out the storm because the item stolen was not very expensive, but it turns out that Vince McMahon and company needed to make an example of her. Since she was not very high up on the card, it was easier for WWE to release her.
July 2, 2014
Jillian Hall
Through social media, Jillian Hall revealed to her fans that she is back to working on an autobiography. There is some skepticism as to how well the book will sell, as her name value drops the longer she has been away from WWE. It has been nearly four years since her release from the company. It also does not appear to be much interest from TNA in signing her, either. That will make it much more difficult for her to move the books.
June 29, 2014
Bo Dallas
Earlier this week, it was revealed that Bo Dallas had gotten married. Now, the identity of the bride has been discovered. It's Sarah Backman, a former WWE developmental diva. Sarah requested her release from the company a couple of months back after having quite the lackluster tenure in the developmental program.
June 28, 2014
Evan Bourne
When he received his release from WWE, Evan Bourne immediately contacted ROH and told them that he was available for work. ROH, however, took the smart approach and contacted WWE to get things in writing. During the conversation, WWE informed ROH that Bourne has not been cleared to work for their company. Bourne was flown out to the show, but had to remain backstage.
June 27, 2014
Drew McIntyre
During a recent interview, Jinder Mahal revealed that he was surprised by his WWE release. He stated that he and Drew McIntyre had no signs from management that they were on the bubble. Mahal noted that 3MB, which currently only consists of Heath Slater and Hornswoggle, was booked on a lot of events, so they felt that their job security was not a concern at the time. WWE, however, needed to cut cost.
June 26, 2014
Josh Mathews
It looks like WWE is not done handing out pink slips to their employees. Josh Mathews becomes the latest person to receive a release from the company. He was a bit of a utility person backstage, but most will remember him as an interviewer. Locker room morale might take a bit of a hit since Mathews was well liked and his enthusiasm for the WWE product was a bit infectious.
June 25, 2014
Drew McIntyre
Since WWE owns the name, Jinder Mahal is going by a different moniker now that he has been given a release and is looking for work on the independent wrestling circuit. He will now be known as Raj Singh. While he is taking bookings through an agent, it's interesting to note that he has not teamed up with Drew McIntyre in an attempt to be signed as a package.
June 24, 2014
JTG
When WWE announced that they were releasing several performers from their main roster earlier this month, it caught a few of them by surprise. JTG, however, was well prepared for his release. He had been expecting it for quite some time now. There was an incident a while back where he received major backstage heat from management for speaking out about payment. Since then, his days with WWE were numbered. JTG recently revealed to TMZ that he had started planning around the release way before it took place.
June 23, 2014
Bobby Lashley
A big reason why Bobby Lashley was given the TNA World Heavyweight Championship this week is because he is viewed as a marketing asset. The company immediately sent out a press release to inform them that Lashley had become the new champion. TNA is touting his accomplishments as a collegiate athlete, military personnel, mixed martial arts and professional wrestling to the media.
June 20, 2014
Drew McIntyre
As many of you already know by now, Drew McIntyre, who was once viewed as a future world champion in WWE by both Vince McMahon and the fans, received his release from the company earlier this month. The talented and underrated performer will now be forced to use a different name if he wishes to continue in the professional wrestling industry because WWE owns the trademark. The belief is that he will wrestle under his real name for the time being.
June 20, 2014
Ezekiel Jackson
In a rather interesting revelation, Ezekiel Jackson has publicly stated that WWE has yet to contact him about his release. He received a letter a couple of months before his contract expired, but no one backstage has bothered to call him since the deal ended in April. It's customary to make communication with the wrestlers after they have been released by the company.
June 19, 2014
JTG
If you're a big fan of Cryme Tyme, then get on the phone with the independent wrestling promotion to ask them to book the former WWE tag team. Now that JTG has been given a release by the company, he has decided to reunite with Shad Gaspard, so that the two of them can be booked as a unit on the indies circuit. Combined, they have much more name value, so they can command a higher contract from promoters.
June 19, 2014
Chris Jericho
In quite the shrewd marketing move, Chris Jericho has signed up Drew McIntyre for an interview. Fan interest in this particular episode of his podcast should be higher than usual since McIntyre was recently given a release from WWE. Jericho teased that the former Chosen One will break his silence during the segment. There is actually a good chance that McIntyre will vent on bring used poorly by the company.
June 17, 2014
Diego
For those that are wondering about the fate of 3MB after Jinder Mahal and Drew McIntyre received their release from WWE earlier in the week, it appears that the company will keep Heath Slater and Hornswoggle together. The two of them worked a tag team match over the weekend at a WWE live event in Canada. The faced Diego and El Torito in a losing effort.
June 15, 2014

During a recent podcast interview between Steve Austin and Vince Russo, the topic of the Montreal Screwjob came up. Russo gave specific details about what went down between Vince McMahon, Bret Hart and Shawn Michaels. Austin then finished the discussion by stating that he had no prior knowledge of the incident going down, but that he thinks the decision by McMahon and Russo was the right one. The business had to be protected from Hart and Eric Bischoff.

April 23, 2014
Eric Bischoff
Much speculations have been made about the status of Eric Bischoff and TNA. During a recent interview, Dixie Carter shed some light on that topic. She stated that he and his BHE production company are still the executive producers of Impact Wrestling. Bischoff is no longer as involved in the day to day operations, but he does still have an interest in the company.
March 1, 2014
Eric Bischoff
In the story line, Eric Bischoff was the one that invented the Elimination Chamber match. However, in reality, though, it has now been revealed that Triple H was indeed the person backstage that came up with the idea. Bischoff acknowledged that through his Twitter account, and HHH stated it publicly in an interview for WWE.
February 21, 2014
Eric Bischoff
As the creator and executive producer of the show, Eric Bischoff has quite a bit of creative control over See Dad Run, a surprisingly popular first run sitcom on Nick at Nite. He has used that power to cast his nephew Greyson Bacal in a role. The relationship was actually revealed by Garett Bischoff on Twitter.
February 20, 2014
Eric Bischoff
While a lot of fans blame Eric Bischoff for everything that took place in WCW, Scotty Riggs defends his former boss. February 18, 2014
Eric Bischoff
This week marks the 15 year anniversary of Big Show signing with WWE. Vince McMahon was able to snatch him away from WCW by offering him a ten year contract worth millions of dollars. At the time, Eric Bischoff was handing out massive contracts to performers like Kevin Nash, Scott Hall, Hulk Hogan and Bret Hart, so it had to have been a sizable amount of cash.
February 8, 2014
Eric Bischoff

While a lot of fans are still critical of his abilities, Eric Bischoff is proving to many that he does know what he's doing when it comes to being a producer. One of his shows, the Devils Ride, made its third season premiere on Monday night, and the show has lasted a lot longer than some had predicted.

Eric Bischoff

Eric Bischoff recently spent a couple of days in Las Vegas, where the former WCW president met with MX Gaming, an independent game developer that is currently working on a project with Hulk Hogan.

December 18, 2013
Justin Gabriel
While he is a reliable performer who does not cause trouble backstage, Justin Gabriel was one of the candidates to be on the receiving end of a release from WWE when the company was doing budget cuts. He apparently has survived the cuts and will remain with the company for the time being. It is interesting to note that Gabriel has not been utilized on Monday Night Raw since last September.
July 27, 2014
Alex Riley
Since WWE was doing budget cuts left and right in order to reduce the millions of dollars that they're losing this year, several names were mentioned as possible candidates for a release. Alex Riley was once rumored to be someone on the chopping board, but it looks like the commentator has made the cut. Unless WWE decides to get rid of the kickoff shows, Riley should remain with the company.
July 26, 2014
JTG
While morale is really low backstage due to the recent and severe drop in royalty checks, WWE performers are not speaking out on the matter because they are afraid of Vince McMahon. Many saw what happened to JTG when he voiced his opinion about low pay per view bonus checks. The former Cryme Tyme member was buried for more than a year and recently was given a release form his contract.
July 14, 2014
Drew McIntyre
While a lot of fans were under the impression that he would be on the receiving end of a contract release along with Jinder Mahal and Drew McIntyre, Heath Slater has managed to survive and is still with WWE. Unfortunately, though, the company really does not have any plans for him at the moment. He's basically just a filler guy at live events, teaming up with various partners for the time being.
July 6, 2014
David Otunga
Earlier in this week, Zack Ryder revealed to fans that WWE is no longer selling his merchandise. The belief is that it is a part of the company's plan to diminish his name value for when they decide to release him from his contract. Since the start of the year, Ryder has only been utilized eight times on television, all of which were losses. He hasn't had a victory on Monday Night Raw or Smackdown since December of 2012, when he pinned David Otunga on Raw.
July 5, 2014
Josh Mathews
Yesterday, Josh Mathews received his release from WWE, losing his dream job because the company needed to save money. The announcer decided that he was not going to just sit around and mope. Instead, Mathews is backstage at the Impact Wrestling taping, which is taking place in New York City. The belief is that he is gauging to see if there is any interest from TNA in signing him to a contract.
June 26, 2014
Great Muta
While WWE did not feel that he was good enough for the main roster, Yoshi Tatsu still has a couple of suitors left in the industry. Shortly after his contract release, the Japanese star was contacted by All Japan Pro Wrestling and Wrestle-1, which is owned by the Great Muta, about returning to his home country. Rumors are floating around that Tatsu would prefer to stay in the United States, so he may explore his options here first before making a decision to return home.
June 23, 2014
Vince McMahon
After suffering a massive drop a couple of weeks ago, WWE stock started rising this past week. Many within the company attribute that to the release of several wrestlers. That has caused a lot of fear backstage because performers feel that Vince McMahon could take that as a sign for him to release several more people. Rumors are circulating that a lot of developmental wrestlers will be released soon.
June 17, 2014
Brodus Clay
Now that he has received his release from WWE, Brodus Clay has already planned out the next phase of his life. Rather than jumping back into the wrestling ring immediately, the former bodyguard has opted to book himself on a trip to Japan, so that he can help protest against those that are hunting dolphins. Clay left open the possibility of working some matches in Japan if that option were to become available to him.
June 13, 2014
Curt Hawkins
"First, I don't often explain myself to no one, but I had no idea anyone got let go. I was asked to post about birthday. That's what came out. It was about my 18 year journey. I know where you live, dude. It's a small world. An apology is due. If not, well, you know me. I'll handle our business." - Mark Henry responding to Curt Hawkins about his insensitive Tweet on the day of his WWE release
June 13, 2014
Curt Hawkins
It did not take very long for Curt Hawkins to find work after receiving his release from WWE. He immediately hit the phones and got himself booked for several shows on the independent wrestling circuit. Hawkins might opt to remain a free agent for the time being because it does enable him to focus on his brand new wrestling school a bit more.
June 13, 2014
Evan Bourne
"In good news, 'I'll be wrestling again soon' will actually be happening. Please be patient because nothing happens until the dust settles. Thank you again for your unwavering support. June 13, 2014
Aksana
"It hasn't quite hit me yet, and I've been repeating it in my head. I hate to say that my run with WWE is over. I love you all." - Aksana commenting on her WWE release
June 13, 2014
Drew McIntyre
There was a point in time where fans viewed Drew McIntyre as a future world champion in WWE. The praise began when Vince McMahon himself went on television and declared that McIntyre was a future star in the company. That never came to be. After floating around as a member of 3MB, McIntyre has now received his release from WWE.
June 12, 2014
JTG
A lot of people have been expecting the release of JTG since he spoke up to management about pay per view bonus checks a couple of years back, but it never happened. Until today, that is. The former Cryme Tyme member was one of many WWE stars to lose their jobs today. To his credit, JTG has already been planning for this by working on a business project with Tyler Reks.
June 12, 2014
Yoshi Tatsu
While there is some sadness to every release today, the departure of Yoshi Tatsu has to be bothering several people left in WWE. He was well liked backstage, as he never got involved in any of the political stuff in the locker room. Tatsu kept a positive attitude since being removed from the main roster. He put in a lot of time and effort into improving himself in developmental, so he could get another chance to work Monday Night Raw and Smackdown. Unfortunately, though, it was not enough for WWE.
June 12, 2014
Evan Bourne
Even though he was a highly popular performer, Evan Bourne was one of the many WWE stars who received a release from the company today. There was a lot of potential in the high flyer, as fans reacted very warmly to him, but his stint will forever be marred by a long term injury absence and a couple of drug related suspensions. Bourne had been telling fans that he was on the verge of a return to television over the last couple of months.
June 12, 2014
Camacho
Since 2011, Camacho has worked just one match on Smackdown. During that time, he was not utilized in a match on Monday Night Raw at all. He recently was sent down to WWE NXT to work as a veteran presence on those shows. Today, though, saw the end of his tenure with the company. WWE has given Camacho his release. His tag team partner Hunico still remains on the roster.
June 12, 2014

There was a surprising amount of fans who have been wanting to see Theodore Long return as an on screen character, but that will not be happening. WWE gave the former general manager his release today. Long has rarely been used over the last year, and it was not clear if he actually had another role backstage.
June 12, 2014
Aksana
Despite being utilized on Monday Night Raw this week, Aksana received her release from WWE today. April 20, 2014
Eric Bischoff
"David Arquette is his own animal. As much heat as he ever took, for him, all the money he made for that pay per view when he busted me over the head with the guitar and Jeff Jarrett took the world title, the money he made, he gave to Melanie Pillman. When he pinned Eric Bischoff, not me, and I will go on record as saying that was the biggest clusterfuck ever, and it never should have happened, but it did. That being said, that was the booking committee. It was not Arquette, and every fan that has ever roasted him, should dip their own ass in boiling oil because everyone of you that has buried Arquette, if put in the same position, you would have jumped through a hoop of burning oil to do the same shit. That's why when everyone busts his balls on that, I just want to smack someone. I'm like, "really, you, Marko Mark? You would have died for that." - Diamond Dallas Page defending David Arquette for winning a championship
March 24, 2014

March 6, 2014
Eric Bischoff

It has been a couple of months now since he was sent home from the company, and it appears that Eric Bischoff is very unlikely to make his return to the TNA front office. Kaz Hayashi
After a couple of years working in Japan, Kaz Hayashi wanted to try something bigger, so he opted to go wrestle in Mexico back in 1997. It proved to be quite the career move, as within five months of arriving in the company, he was recruited by WCW and signed to a contract. This was during the time where Eric Bischoff was collecting global talent at a rapid pace.
February 5, 2014
Eric Bischoff

"There is no real comparison, that is like comparing a diamond and a chunk of coal. Vince McMahon is an absolute master, he is a brilliant man, you take a look at going up against WCW, Ted Turner and that whole organisation. Turner gave us all no cut contracts; Hulk Hogan, Brutus Beefcake, Bret Hart, and myself all went to WCW. Vince then took all the cast offs like Triple H and Steve Austin and turned them into global superstars and once again he was on top. You've got to give Vince credit, he is not your friend, if you want a friend go buy a puppy, Vince is your boss. He will use you and make you money but when the time is right he will flush you down the toilet and won't think twice about it, welcome to the real world."

- Jim Duggan on Eric Bischoff

January 23, 2014
Diamond Dallas Page

"Bischoff was a genius. He could be an asshole at times. I had an amazing relationship with him. We don't even talk today, which is so f---ed up to me, and it's his fault, because he sucks on the phone. We don't even have a relationship anything like we had, but at the time, it was a real relationship... (Now) he doesn't even return a phone call, which is so obnoxious."

January 16, 2014
Christopher Daniels

"I never had anything but good experiences with Eric. He was always a straight shooter with us, especially with Bad Influence. He was a big supporter of our act and I could always go to him with ideas and get an honest response from him. So I hope that he comes back and does stuff, and if he doesn't, I'm sure that wherever he ends up, he's going to end up being successful. But personally, selfishly speaking, I had fun working with him and I hope that he gets a chance to come back and sort of, continue adding his two cents to our creative direction."

January 16, 2014
Samoa Joe

"Um I think Bischoff is still around, I think it's just a production capacity. I think with Hogan, some people think he had more clout than he did. I think they really wanted him to do a bit more but I think he just didn't want to really do more at this time. As far as Hogan as a person, cool cat. As far as working with him, I wouldn't know. I never worked with them. I never see them, I never talk to them. When they just asked me 'This is what we need from you' I did it and that was that."

January 14, 2014
Eric Bischoff

"Direct TV dropping WWE PPVs would open up some programming and promotional real estate for other producers (TNA, Bellator) who havent gotten a lot of promotional love. Could be a win/win/win. Interesting to watch this unfold"

January 11, 2014
Steve Austin

It was a phone call, but the FedEx came the next day. It was basically exactly what Eric Bischoff said. "Steve, based upon the amount of days you've been incapacitated, and the amount of money we're paying you, we're going to go ahead and exercise our right to terminate the agreement." So basically you're telling me I'm fired, right? He said, "yeah, you're fired." So this was right when I had tore my triceps off my elbow and I was making my recovery. I was going to be a few more weeks. I had been out for several months. When you have a triceps detached it takes a while to grow back. So it was during that time, and prior to that I had had some knee issues. I had some messed up knees. Hey, man. I was a hard working guy and put it all on the line, but some debilitating injuries you just can't make your shots. So anyway, that was the way he broke down firing me. I think it had something to do with that, and him just not seeing a big future for a guy with thinning long blond hair called Stunning Steve Austin. Although, I was very angry when I got fired, because that was my job. I need my job to pay my bills. When I look back and look through Eric Bischoff's eyes at where he was and my look, my character or lack of, and what I was presenting, I don't blame him for making the decision that he made. I don't at all.
