Earlier in the week, WWE sent some of their production members to Pittsburgh to film footage with Bruno Sammartino. Reports have surfaced that they spent nearly fifteen hours filming, which most likely means that a new DVD is being produced for the former world heavyweight champion. The belief is that it should be completed pretty soon and could be on the shelves by the beginning of 2016.

A lot of wrestling fans are excited about the upcoming Owen Hart DVD. That includes Bret Hart. However, he feels that the material will not be as good as it should be because he thinks that WWE is making sure that they do not offend Martha Hart with the content. Bret feels that if the company is holding back, then they are not producing the best biography that they possibly can.

It appears that Scott Hall has lost the trust of WWE that he worked so hard and so long to regain. Management had planned on doing a DVD for the entire Kliq, and they were even going to do a reunion show. However, now that Hall has caused some trouble at an independent wrestling show, the front office does not feel that it would be a good move to have him around. They are simply going to sell the documentary and nothing more.

Things can get pretty ugly when family members fight, especially when the connection between them is no longer living. Bret Hart recently stated in an interview that he feels that Martha Hart is trying to erase everything that Owen Hart has done in professional wrestling. He feels that she is being selfish and childish for being against WWE trying to release a DVD on her late husband. The two sides have not been getting along for years now.

It looks like WWE has finally decided to sign the other half of Harlem Heat. However, do not expect Stevie Ray to be donning the wrestling gear anytime soon. He announced that he has now signed a legends contract. That means that the company can use his likeness while also booking Stevie for a couple of appearances a year. The belief is that this might lead to a DVD or other merchandise for the former world tag team champions.

On Monday Night Raw, WWE announced that Daniel Bryan was going to be making an appearance at the Elimination Chamber kickoff show. He will be interviewed by the Miz. That has led to a lot of speculation within the internet wrestling community about the former world heavyweight champion potentially announcing his return that night. The real reason why management is bringing him in is because his DVD is being released on Tuesday.

Generally, WWE likes to keep skeletons in the closet because they do not want others using that as ammunition against the company and their often times damaged reputation. That is why it comes as a bit of a surprise that management is having Randy Orton talk about his past drug addition on an upcoming DVD. There were rumors that were floating around for years about Orton, and his loyal fans denied that there were any drug issues.

When WWE creates a DVD for a performer, they generally allow them some creative input. With Jerry Lawler, he is receiving a whole lot of input. The longtime commentator is being allowed to pick and choose which matches that he wants on the feature. Management is even paying him for the rights to use the footage, since Lawler owns most of the content from the Memphis territory. This is definitely a special case scenario.

When the news initially surfaced that Owen Hart was going to be getting his very first DVD special, the belief was that his widow signed off on it. Apparently, that was wrong. Martha Hart has spoken out against WWE for going through with the tribute despite her expressing to them that it was against her wishes. She has urged true fans of her husband to avoid purchasing the item, so that management knows that it is wrong to capitalize on his legacy.

It looks like we are one step closer to seeing Owen Hart in the WWE Hall of Fame. The company has announced that they are working on a DVD that will document his career and life. That was not done earlier because his widow Martha Hart did not want anything to do with the company because she was understandably bitter towards the company for causing the death of her husband. She gave them approval to make the documentary.
