When asked for his feelings towards the late Dusty Rhodes, Ricky Steamboat showed a tremendous amount of honesty when he said that he had mixed feelings towards his former coworker. Steamboat stated that Rhodes used to purposely book Steamboat to not be able to beat the top heels in the Carolinas territory so that Rhodes can come in and finish up the job, making himself look good.

When asked about his relationship with the late Dusty Rhodes, MVP stated that the American Dream was the only man that could give him a kiss on the cheeks and not cause him to flinch. The man known as Alvin Burke stated that he was fine with it because Rhodes treated him like a son. He even said that Rhodes would introduce him to people as his "darkest son".

A very interesting and heartwarming story was shared by Brodus Clay recently. He stated that when he first started in the developmental program, he was insecure about having to wear trunks because he was so heavy. In order to alleviate those concerns, Dusty Rhodes showed up to work without his shirt on. Rhodes said that if he could do it, then Clay can as well.
