"There is a lot of truth to that, absolutely. There were guys that came there from other organizations that perhaps they thought they should just skip everybody else and skip right to the top and have things right away the way they wanted. I mean, hey, there are rules and things that you have to abide by as far as this business goes. and you have to respect those. But, when you don't respect those, then hey, we have got a problem. So, yes, we had a lot of guys who came in with that attitude, and John and I would have to be called upon to let them know 'hey, that is not how it works here'." - Ron Simmons on how he and JBL handled backstage politics in WWE

Kofi Kingston
"People always say, 'Oh, there haven't been many black champions,' but on the other hand, there are a whole lot of white people that never won a belt either. These days, I think it's less of a racial thing. I honestly believe that if you are able to entertain and interact with the crowd, it doesn't matter what ethnicity you may be. WWE will reward you." - Kofi Kingston discusses racism and backstage politics

Davey Richards
"We're not talking. We're not on good terms. I have no respect for them whatsoever. I strongly dislike management there like with the exception of Jeff Jones who is a great guy. But the booker (Hunter Johnson) is completely inadequate at his job and he got his job more for being spineless than being talented. And the owner (Joe Koff) is even worse, he could care less about wrestling. He just wants to do television. To me, it's just not something I agree with but I'm not there anymore and they do their own thing. And for the talent and the fans I wish them nothing but the best of luck. That company is in business not because of stellar booking and stellar management. They're in business still because they'they're spineless. The talent there is phenomenal. They're top notch and great. But the management from the booker to the owner it's definitely shut up and do what you're told and drink the Kool-aid. I made a joke when I was there I called it Jim Jones wrestling. Just shut up and drink the Kool-aid and do your job. In private, people are going this sucks this sucks this sucks and I'm the one who came out and said this is terrible. I worked for that company and gave them everything I had for seven years. I think I earned my right to an opinion. Once that got out, it was like you're going against the stream? You're not here to have an opinion, just shut up and do your job and get your paycheck. I'm sure you can find someone else to do that for a lot less money than what you're paying me so I'm just going to go about my way. Best decision I ever made and I have no desire to go back, ever." - Davey Richards talks about the backstage politics in ROH

John Cena
"He's a workhorse. He does incredible things for the company and he busts his butt. Outside the ring, I can't stand the guy. He's not a nice guy, he holds talent down. He steals ideas. He's a prick." - Tyler Reks discusses backstage politics with John Cena when he was in WWE

Kamala
"Vince McMahon has certain people that he will pay. If you get along with Vince, do him sexual favors, you'll get along good with him. But if you just (do your job and) mind your own business, then he doesn't like you for some reason. There was a lot of men with men in those days and even men with boys. I know a lot of guys that (failed drug tests) and it was documented that they passed, and I know what they did." - Kamala on backstage politics in WWE

Dusty Rhodes
"It was strictly politics. Dusty Rhodes was the booker and he was against it. You know, what are you going to do. He didn't book me anywhere during the whole time I had the belt until the rematch because Dusty Rhodes was a very, very jealous guy when it came to guys getting over. He was the wrong guy to be a booker. He is the one who put Jim Crockett out of business. He is the reason Jim Crockett had to sell and was losing his butt. It was the same thing with the Rock and Roll Express. He couldn't stand the Rock and Roll Express getting over like rock stars. I mean, girls would go crazy. They had to have some protection for the Rock and Roll Express, the girls would attack them, just like rock stars, it was unbelievable." - Ronnie Garvin discusses backstage politics and Dusty Rhodes

Linda McMahon
While she has been relatively quiet as of late, Linda McMahon is still making moves in the world of politics. The former WWE CEO is being honored this month with the Prescott Bush Award, which is viewed as the highest honor that is bestowed by the Connecticut Republican Party. Despite the launch of the WWE Network, Linda is still keeping her distance from the company.
February 10, 2014
Carlito
Those hoping to see Carlito making his return to the company some day are going to be quite disappointed, as it seems like he has very little interest in returning to WWE. The former US champion has been booked rather frequently on the independent wrestling circuit, and he reportedly is not interested in returning to the backstage politics that takes place in WWE.

Daniel Bryan

"Hey WWE I’m not trying to be rude but the crowd seems to really want Daniel Bryan. Juuuuuuust MAFAKIN Saying!! Geez. Sadly WWE is still run by 'Muscle Marks.' It is what it is folks."

Bret Hart

"Toronto deserves Rob Ford, they put him in office. Toronto deserves everything it gets. Up in Calgary we've got a more prestigious mayor [Naheed Nenshi]. I think we've got the best mayor in North America."

Ultimate Warrior
While there were talks about building a stable around Dolph Ziggler and Miz, two performers who have not been pushed as much as they used to be lately, those discussions have grown a bit dormant as of late. WWE has been focused on bringing up the developmental wrestlers from WWE NXT, and they have been occupied with the tribute show for Ultimate Warrior.

Dolph Ziggler
Since he split with Jack Swagger and Zeb Colter, many fans are under the impression that Antonio Cesaro is doing a face turn. WWE is currently planning on keeping him a heel, as Paul Heyman functions a lot better in that role. Cesaro worked as a heel against Dolph Ziggler at a live event in Texas over the weekend. WWE might be persuaded to change their minds down the line because of his growing popularity, however.

Christian
While the company may be promoting the fact that anyone can win the Andre the Giant memorial battle royal at Wrestlemania 30, WWE officials really only have a small number of candidates for the role. Guys like Dolph Ziggler and Christian, despite being former world heavyweight champions, really do not stand much of a chance of walking away with the trophy.

Dolph Ziggler
For more than a year now, Dolph Ziggler has found himself in the doghouse with WWE officials, and the belief was that his blunt media interviews were what got him relocated there. The former world heavyweight champion is doing interviews again, and this time around, he has been noticeably much more tamer with what he says about the company.

Justin Gabriel
WWE has announced that the Andre the Giant memorial battle royal will consists of Alberto Del Rio, Big E Langston, Big Show, Brodus Clay, Christian, Cody Rhodes, Damien Sandow, Darren Young, Dolph Ziggler, Drew McIntyre, Fandango, Goldust, Great Khali, Heath Slater, Jinder Mahal, Justin Gabriel, Kofi Kingston, Mark Henry, Miz, R Truth, Rey Mysterio, Santino Marella, Sheamus, Sin Cara, Titus ONeil and Zack Ryder. There are also four spots available for last minute entrants.
March 25, 2014
Zack Ryder
In a rather interesting bit of news, WWE did a live event in Long Island this weekend, and they purposely opted not to use Zack Ryder, the hometown hero. In what could be a show of defiance towards management, Dolph Ziggler did an in ring tribute to Zack Ryder during his match by doing a couple of his Ryder's signature moves.
March 24, 2014
Ric Flair
Since WWE has filed trademark paperwork on his name, Ric Flair is expected to be utilized as an on screen character soon. While nothing has been confirmed at this time, there are talks backstage of the former WCW champion being a manager again. There are rumors that he could be paired up with Miz, Dolph Ziggler and Zack Ryder, if management opts to make that stable happen.

Dolph Ziggler
When WWE announced their new Slam City cartoon, the characters announced were John Cena, Mark Henry, Rey Mysterio, Kane, Sheamus, Alberto Del Rio, Dolph Ziggler and Randy Orton. The company is expected to expand that with more performers. Stephanie McMahon recently revealed that the Rock will become a character soon.

Dolph Ziggler
While he does not plan on leaving wrestling for Hollywood any time soon, John Cena is making quite the step up. Variety magazine is reporting that the WWE star is joining the cast of Trainwreck, a movie by Judd Apatow. Cena will be joining Bill Hader, Brie Larson and Amy Schumer, who happens to be the former girlfriend of Dolph Ziggler.

Mark Henry

March 18, 2014
Dolph Ziggler
Since Santino Marella was not on hand at the WWE live event in Corpus Christi, Dolph Ziggler was chosen as his replacement, teaming up with Emma to beat Fandango and Summer Rae in a mixed tag team match. No word yet on why Marella was absent, but this does not appear to be a permanent change in the story line.
March 18, 2014
Zack Ryder
In the latest episode of Last ReZort, Zack Ryder talked about how the greatest moment of his WWE career was winning the United States Heavyweight Championship from Dolph Ziggler, so he decided to shatter that glass ceiling by destroying the title belt.
March 17, 2014
Dolph Ziggler
Earlier in the year, there were some minor talks backstage about putting Miz and Dolph Ziggler into a stable together, where the theme of the group is that performers are disgruntled with their positions within WWE. Miz even started a few segments on Monday Night Raw for that. Now, there are talks that Zack Ryder could be thrown into the mix as a third member.
March 15, 2014
Andre the Giant
While a lot of fans bought into the hype of the match since a legendary name was attached to it, WWE is viewing the Andre the Giant memorial battle royal as an afterthought. There is even a strong push to move it off the pay per view and utilized it as a kickoff match, despite several stars such as Ryback, Kofi Kingston, Big E Langston and Dolph Ziggler being rumored for spots.
March 15, 2014
Andre the Giant
Since he has been in the dog house with management for the last year, it seemed highly unlikely that Dolph Ziggler was going to get a spot at Wrestlemania 30. Until last night, that is. Through the WWE app, the former world heavyweight champion revealed to fans that he is in the Andre the Giant memorial battle royal.
March 12, 2014
Alberto Del Rio
Those that are hoping to see the two of them being pushed again are in luck, as Dolph Ziggler and Alberto Del Rio really impressed WWE officials over the weekend thanks to their superb match at the big live event in Madison Square Garden. The audience reacted extremely well, and there were several "This is awesome!" chants throughout the bout.
March 10, 2014
Dolph Ziggler
The latest wrestler to jump on the stand up comedy bandwagon is Diamond Dallas Page. He is currently doing shows throughout Europe. DDP joins guys like Mick Foley, Jim Ross, Dolph Ziggler and William Regal in making the jump from the wrestling ring to the stage. He is still hoping to induct Jake Roberts into the hall of fame at Wrestlemania 30.
March 5, 2014
Alberto Del Rio
While a lot of fans were under the impression that his win on Monday Night Raw might have signaled an escape from the dog house, there does not appear to be much of a chance of seeing a Dolph Ziggler push any time soon. He and Alberto Del Rio were basically just chosen to do a match to help guest star Aaron Paul promote his movie.
March 4, 2014
Dolph Ziggler
A lot of fans are aware that Dolph Ziggler has been in the doghouse with WWE, and while he has kept quiet as of late, he could no longer do so this week after Smackdown. He noted on Twitter that WWE edited out the "We want Ziggler!" chants from his fans in the audience during his segment with Batista.
