For those of you that have not been attending live events lately, WWE is routinely running the angle where the Intercontinental Championship keeps getting stolen by the performers who will compete for the belt in a ladder match at Wrestlemania. Cody Rhodes worked a match against Goldust in Erie on Saturday. While that was going on, Dolph Ziggler ran out from the backstage area and stole the title. Story will continue on Monday Night Raw.

While he does not have the backstage power to convince management to give him a sustained and serious run in the main event again, Daniel Bryan does still wield some stroke within WWE. Reports have surfaced that he was able to convince management that it would be better for everyone is he were to wrestle against Dolph Ziggler at Wrestlemania instead of Sheamus as originally planned. The match could steal the show.

When Dolph Ziggler lost the Intercontinental Championship to Wade Barrett, many were under the impression that the move was done simply because WWE wanted to push Barrett. However, there are now reports floating around that backstage heat might have been involved in the decision. Some are saying that Ziggler is in trouble with management because he booked comedy shows for himself without approval from management.

Those that watched the TLC pay per view last night, know that Dolph Ziggler once again stole the show during his ladder match with Luke Harper for the Intercontinental Championship. Not only has the new champion received quite a bit of praise backstage, he is also receiving a good amount of praise from legends via social media. Edge stated that the match reminded him of why he loved professional wrestling, while Steve Austin said that he enjoyed every part of the match.
