Since the company has no interest in pushing them as singles performes, the idea being tossed around backstage right now has the Miz and Dolph Ziggler forming a tag team. WWE is also interested in giving them a gimmick where they both are disgruntled with the company.
In a rather pleasantly surprising move, Antonio Cesaro has earned himself a main event spot at Elimination Chamber 2014. Despite being stuck in a mid card tag team with Jack Swagger, he defeated Dolph Ziggler in a qualifying match on Smackdown this week.
Internally, the match between Dolph Ziggler and Miz on Monday Night Raw was viewed as a filler match. The creative department simply added the Cleveland theme, in hopes of getting a little reaction from the live audience. WWE has no plans of making this program a big deal.

"I knew AJ Lee from developmental a year before she was on NXT. I didn't know Dolph Ziggler at all. But when we started working together and traveling to different shows we realized that we shared a similar sense of humor. It didn't take us long to realize that it was kind of an odd pairing but it worked. We had a lot of fun and it is something that I'll always remember. I learned a lot from Dolph when I was ringside for all of the John Cena matches at house shows. It was a positive way for me to start my career."

While many people are already aware that Dolph Ziggler is being punished by WWE over the last several months, not many are aware as to the exact reason why. Rumor is that he has backstage heat with Randy Orton over comments he made during an interview around the time of Summerslam.
While he is currently out of action due to another concussion, Dolph Ziggler is occupying his time with other activities. The WWE star wa spotted in Las Vegas this week, attending the Adult Video News convention. Ziggler has been romantically linked to a porn star in the past.

While he has not been cleared to return to the ring yet, Dolph Ziggler was said to have responded well to the tests conducted by neuropsychologist. WWE has instructed him to go home and rest up before undergoing another round of testing.
With WWE having to take a stronger stance on concussions over the last few years, Dolph Ziggler might be forced to call it a career soon. The former world champion is being sent by the company to a specialist in Pittsburgh to see if he should retire from wrestling.
According to the company, Dolph Ziggler suffered another concussion while taping a match against Ryback for an upcoming episode of WWE Superstars in Baltimore last night. The belief is that this is not a story line and is a legitimate injury.
"I'm sitting at home with a pounding headache, and I'm thinking I'm going to lose this one opportunity that I was basically never supposed to have. Then slowly over the next two or three weeks, my headaches weren't going away, and then I'm, 'Wow, let's put that on the back burner, I need to see if I can ever wrestle again.' At week three, [still] a consistent 24-hour headache, I may never be able to get in to the ring again. If I do, I don't know if I could fall down, be as crisp as I was, and I'm nervous about hitting my head or anything like that. Luckily, very slowly but surely, everything came back into order. I picked up right where I left off, and unfortunately the title was very shortly out of my hands. Even though you love this business, it doesn't always love you back. It's always about timing, [and] that was my one shot to prove to the world that I could actually be a Heavyweight Champion."
"Absolutely Arn. He's taken a liking to me because of my work ethic. I'm the guy who doesn't necessarily win all the time, always out there giving a great match, [and] making someone else look better. He crushed for so many years like that, so I feel like he relates to me sometimes. He pulls me aside and gives me a lot of pointers. [WWE Hall of Famer] Pat Paterson is another one. Guys who are so good and so smart with the business, loving the business, and [when] they see someone else loving it, they try to pass on their wisdom."
With Mick Foley, Dolph Ziggler, William Regal and a couple of others from the wrestling indsutry venturing into the realm of stand up comedy, Edge has informed his fans that he has no intentions of following in their footsteps despite being a pretty funny guy.
On Monday Night Raw, WWE announced that Dolph Ziggler and Fandango will be doing the kickoff match at the TLC pay per view. Neither guy has been given much of a push, and there is not a lot of history between the two of them.
"I don't think he's [Bryan] being treated fairly. [The people at WWE] are making him work awfully hard to be successful and he's not letting them down. He's working harder than ever. He's like a giant slayer. He takes on the biggest and the best. Kind of like Dolph Ziggler -- he's another talent I thought he wasn't being used right, and I brought it up in several production meetings that they shouldn't do his character as they were."
