Since their television contract is expiring soon, TNA is shopping Impact Wrestling to various networks. They are trying to gauge interest in their weekly wrestling show. That does not mean that they are completely done with Destination America. Dixie Carter is still negotiating a new deal with the network. However, it is just a smart move to see what other offers are on the table.

Dixie Carter and her team knew that a drop usually takes place whenever a television show changes days. It has happened to them before, and it has also happened to Smackdown. Once fans figure out that they have moved, then the numbers will slowly start increasing again.

Even though the two promotions are on amicable terms, Dixie Carter does not want her contracted performers to work for Jeff Jarrett on their days off. Right now, TNA has a policy that enables them to work for another promotion, provided they are not utilized on television. Things could automatically work out for Carter, however, because it appears that GFW is on track to get a television contract with an unannounced network very soon.

After securing a television deal with Destination America to air Impact Wrestling in the United States, Dixie Carter turned her attention towards bringing the TNA product to fans up north in Canada. She has accomplished that now. The company officially announced that they have signed a contract with Fight Network. The deal is for more than a year, so that provides some security and stability. The first episode airs this upcoming Friday.

A lot of that had to do with the fact that they now have Mahabali Shera on the roster. A Destination America executive revealed that the show has drawn in over four million unique viewers over the entire month of January.
