Impact Wrestling in Canada

After securing a television deal with Destination America to air Impact Wrestling in the United States, Dixie Carter turned her attention towards bringing the TNA product to fans up north in Canada. She has accomplished that now. The company officially announced that they have signed a contract with Fight Network. The deal is for more than a year, so that provides some security and stability. The first episode airs this upcoming Friday.

IMPACT Zone

In a couple of days, TNA will be making their return to a place that was home for the longest time. Impact Wrestling is being taped at the IMPACT Zone for the first time in a long time. Dixie Carter has decided to film a couple of episodes there. A permanent return is not currently in the works, as the company really likes doing shows in New York as well. The belief is that the company will keep finding venues to film their episodes.

TNA in India

After locking up their deal with Destination America to remain on television in the United States, TNA has now finalized a massive deal with Sony Six to ensure that they will be on the air in India. Dixie Carter has announced that her company has signed a 7 year deal with the network. That means that Impact Wrestling will be seen in that country until the year 2022. The addition of Mahabali Shera was said to be a huge selling point for that region.

Impact Wrestling in Germany

Great news for TNA fans in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. A deal has now been completed, and fans will now be able to watch an hour long version of Impact Wrestling each week. It will air for free every Saturday night starting at the end of February. Dixie Carter signed a contract with DMAX, whose parent company, Discovery Communications, also owns Destination America. Thus far, the partnership has been quite fruitful.

When Dixie Carter was forced to move her television show to a new network, she knew that the numbers were going to take a significant dip. That has been the case for Impact Wrestling, as a lot of fans struggled to find the new home of TNA. However, the numbers have been increasing as of late. A Destination America executive revealed that the show has drawn in over four million unique viewers over the entire month of January.

The relationship between TNA and Destination America is in its infancy stage right now, but both sides are already pleased with one another. The network actually released an official statement to praise the results that Impact Wrestling has brought to them. Network executives stated that they had their best January ever because of wrestling. Dixie Carter has reportedly been said to be quite pleased with the support that her product is receiving.

Kevin Von Erich return

When Kevin Von Erich showed up in TNA, many were under the assumption that it was a one shot deal. Turns out, that is not the case at all. Dixie Carter announced via social media that the legendary Texas wrestling star is making another return to the company. He and his sons will be showing up on episodes of Impact Wrestling that are being taped in February. No further details have been released at the moment.

Some more details have emerged about the deal between TNA and Destination America. The contract that was signed between the two sides is set for two years. However, there are options thrown into the deal that will enable both sides to extend the contract a couple of more years, depending on how well Impact Wrestling performs. The network has thrown Dixie Carter a high level of support, so they definitely want a long term relationship.

One of the hot topics this weekend is the status of Havok, with many people wondering if she has left TNA. The speculations came up because she showed up at the SHINE iPPV. That prompted questions because Dixie Carter and company generally do not allow contracted performers to show up on televised events with competitors. During a What Culture interview, Dixie Carter was asked who her dream signing would be for TNA. Without any hesitation whatsoever, she firmly stated that The Rock would be the ultimate person for her to bring to Impact Wrestling. She feels that with his massive worldwide popularity, he would be able to open a lot of new doors for the company. Carter also stated that even though she has never met him personally, she is a huge fan.
