TNA threatening lawsuit

In response to all the rumors that are floating around right now about Impact Wrestling being canceled, TNA has issued an official statement on the matter. The company is threatening to sue those that are facilitating the speculation. Fans are still waiting for public denial from Dixie Carter, but the belief is that the company would not be threatening legal action if they were actually informed of a cancellation from Destination America.

Impact Wrestling canceled

As is usually the case, there are a lot of rumors swirling around about Impact Wrestling. The latest one involves Destination America losing interest in the product, even though the network has never made any statement suggesting such a thing. There are talks that Dixie Carter agreed to an out clause in September, which means that the network would be able to cancel the weekly show and TNA would be without a home once again.

Impact Wrestling vs Smackdown

It looks like TNA is going to be competing with WWE head to head once again. This time, however, it will be Impact Wrestling going up against Smackdown. The Fight Network has revealed that they are moving the weekly wrestling show in Canada to same Wednesday night time slot that Destination America announced earlier in the day. The decision to do so was more a result of the network executives as opposed to Dixie Carter.

Impact Wrestling on Wednesday

With rumors swirling around that Destination America was losing interest in TNA, it turns out that the executives at the network are actually trying to help them out. News surfaced today that Impact Wrestling will be moving to Wednesday nights on a permanent basis. That is good news for Dixie Carter and company because it is really difficult to draw in viewers on Friday night, where a lot of people are going out to celebrate the start of the weekend.

Impact Wrestling going live

Unlike a lot of fans, Dixie Carter was smart enough to know that improvements were not going to take place overnight for TNA. It was going to be a gradual change that required a lot of patience. The company is moving back in the right direction. In addition to a planned tour later on this year, the company is also working on doing live episodes of Impact Wrestling again. They are going to test things out for a couple of weeks first.

TNA taped in England

There appears to be a minor rift between executives in TNA and the people running Destination America. Dixie Carter and her staff love taping episodes of Impact Wrestling in England because those shows tend to be more exciting than the ones that are taped domestically. Network officials, however, prefer that all the episodes be done in the United States because that fits the theme of their channel a lot more than doing things overseas.
