Cody Hall stock rising

From early on in his career, Cody Hall became married to the idea that he would not rush to sign with WWE. He wanted to be well traveled and well trained before accepting his destiny in the biggest wrestling promotion in the world. That move has turned out rather well because his stock has been rising pretty rapidly in the industry. Hall could conceivably jump ahead of other performers when he finally joins the developmental program.

Tony Briggs released from NXT

The second developmental wrestler to be released by WWE is Tony Briggs, who told his fans through social media on Friday afternoon. He was very thankful of the company and had nothing but nice things to say about those that trained him and helped him. Briggs vowed to make it back to NXT some day, so there is a very good chance that he will pursue his opportunities on the independent wrestling circuit to prove is worth again.

John Cena scholarship

During his podcast interview with Chris Jericho, John Cena revealed just how he close he was to turning heel during his feud against The Rock. It was to the point where he spent $5,000 to have new ring gear created for his heel persona. However, WWE scrapped that idea. Instead of asking for a refund, Cena told the seamstress to put that money towards developmental wrestlers that come to her for new apparel. Yet another good deed by Cena.

ROH stars in WWE

As good as NXT is, it appears that ROH is a better developmental program for WWE. All but two of their current male champions come from that promotion. Seth Rollins is the world champion. Daniel Bryan holds the Intercontinental Championship. Kevin Owens and Antonio Cesaro both hold titles. The only two guys that never worked for that promotion are Tyson Kidd and John Cena. The two divas champion never worked there.
