Finn Balor injures leg

On Friday night, Finn Balor worked the main event of an NXT show in Nashville, Tennessee. The heavyweight champion was given a victory over Samoa Joe. Unfortunately, though, the former leader of the Bullet Club injured his leg during the match. Balor was spotted hobbling backstage and had to use crutch in order to leave the arena. Finn and the rest of the developmental brand are expected to work a show in Indianapolis tonight.

Nakamura vs Zayn

Since WWE wanted his debut to be a big deal, Shinsuke Nakamura has now been booked for a big match against Sami Zayn, an experienced performer that had spent years honing his craft in ROH. The two of them will be battling it out at a special NXT event in Dallas during Wrestlemania 32 weekend. Triple H wants to keep the momentum rolling for the developmental brand, so expect Nakamura and Zayn to be given plenty of time to work.

Jay Lethal

Jay Lethal staying with ROH

Since WWE had been collecting as much talent as possible, rumors of Jay Lethal finally signing with the promotion started to swirl. Well, those can be put to rest for at least another year, as the ROH World Heavyweight Champion has signed a contract extension to stay exactly where he is. The belief is that Lethal would much rather defend the world title around the globe instead of being forced to start over again in NXT, the developmental brand.

Ryback vs Finn Balor

When asked about which performers in NXT that he would love to wrestle on the main roster in WWE, Ryback mentioned Sami Zayn and Samoa Joe but really focused on Finn Balor. The former Intercontinental Champion showered Balor, who currently carries the heavyweight championship in the developmental brand, with quite a bit of praise, noting that Finn brings his best night in and night out.

WWE demanding insurance

In a move that might cause a few performers to be placed on the inactive list, WWE is now doing random checkups on their performers to see if they have medical coverage. While they do not provide it themselves, Vince McMahon and company expect the performers to be properly covered out of their own pocket. Developmental wrestlers make less money, so they might be most affected by this rule.

NXT midwest tour

Hoping to become a more active touring company in 2016 so that NXT can finally become profitable, Triple H has booked his developmental crew for a tour of the midwest. In January, the promotion will be making their debuts in Milwaukee, Chicago, Detroit and Green Bay. They will also be doing another stop in Pittsburgh. Names being advertised are Apollo Crews, Samoa Joe, Finn Balor and Bayley.

HHH not in Europe

When the NXT tour of the United Kingdom began this week, a noticeable absence was Triple H, the man that is in charge of the developmental brand. The reason for that was because he was needed for WWE business in the United States. HHH will definitely be heading over to Europe whenever they do the big Takeover show in London. He will more than likely head back home afterwards.

Luke Harper a librarian

While doing a podcast interview show with Chris Jericho, Luke Harper revealed something very interesting about his personal life. Prior to being signed to a developmental contract with WWE, he was working on the independent wrestling scene. Since he needed to supplement his money, Harper also worked as a librarian for the city. He stated that he was in charge of keeping up with the text books.

Austin Aries to NXT

Earlier today, a photo surfaced on social media that shows Austin Aries making his arrival at an NXT event in Florida. That has sparked rumors that the former TNA World Heavyweight Champion is on the verge of signing a contract with WWE to help add depth to the developmental brand. Management is now leaning towards the idea of having seasoned veterans mixed in with the fresher faces.

Billy Gunn

Billy Gunn fired by WWE

For years, Bill DeMott and Billy Gunn were staples of the developmental program in WWE. DeMott was fired after a major controversy. Well, now Gunn is following him out the door. Management was forced to fire Gunn after finding out that he was taking performance enhancing drugs for his power lifting career that he was doing on the side. The front office stated that they had no idea he was even doing that.
