In a sign that the company is still looking to upgrade their roster, TNA has announced that they have signed two of the top female performers on the independent wrestling circuit. Mia Yim and Marti Belle have been signed to contracts and will be debuting as the newest Knockouts on the roster very soon. Yim, in particular, caught the attention of the internet wrestling community on social media because she is friends with several of the big names.

It appears that TNA had a well written plan all along for Rockstar Spud. They purposely made him an annoying character when he first made his debut in the company. The goal was to make fans have strong feelings towards him, even if some of it was negative. In professional wrestling, no heat is the worst heat. The creative department was then deftly able to slowly convert his character into a lovable underdog that could be a serious threat in the ring.

For those that have not heard, former WWE star Drew McIntyre recently made his debut on Impact Wrestling. He is now under contract to TNA. Many are curious to see how much of a push he is going to receive, as some felt that he should have already been a main event performer in this industry by now. His current company wants to start him off a bit slower than what fans would like. There are talks that he will form a tag team with Crimson.

Right before Impact Wrestling made its debut on Destination America, TNA wanted to make a big splash by signing a well known performer to make a surprise appearance. A $400,000 contract was put on the table for Alberto Del Rio. Management even sweetened the deal by limiting the amount of appearances that he would be required to make during the year. For whatever reasons, the former world heavyweight champion declined the offer.

When Awesome Kong made her surprising return on the debut episode of Impact Wrestling on Destination America, some wondered if it was a temporary thing, as she left TNA on bad terms. Apparently, everything has been mended, and Kong will be working a full time schedule for the company. Management even released the news that the former Knockouts Champion has been added to the upcoming tour of England as well.

Now that Impact Wrestling has made its debut on Destination America, all eyes are on the ratings to see how they would compare with the numbers that TNA was drawing on Spike TV. Total viewers drawn in for the episode were approximately 368,000, which is a lot less than on the previous network. However, those numbers were good enough to make professional the wrestling the most watched show on the network. That is a positive start for Dixie Carter.

Just by gazing at her incredible looks, a lot can be said about Christy Hemme, but the best compliment you could give her would be about her strong work ethics. On Tuesday, the longtime TNA Knockout gave birth to a baby daughter, whom she named Charlie Rose. Within 24 hours, she was already in New York City, working on the Impact Wrestling debut episode on Destination America. Christy is not expected to miss a lot of time from work.

Prior to them signing a television contract with Destination America, there were a lot of question marks surrounding the TNA personnel. There were some speculations that Tommy Dreamer was not going to be returning to the promotion once they returned to the air due to potential backstage heat. However, those rumors were dispelled last night, as the ECW legend was working as an agent during the debut episode of Impact Wrestling.
