Reports have surfaced that Rey Mysterio was originally a part of the plans for Survivor Series. No confirmation yet on what role he was to have played at the pay per view, but strong speculations are stating that he was to have been in the big tag team main event match. WWE wanted to rush his return as soon as he agreed to come back. Management wants to spend the next couple of months to build up a Wrestlemania match for him.

When reports leaked that Naomi was going to be removed from Total Divas, there were naturally questions from fans as to why she was being removed. Some wondered if there was some backstage heat involved. Reports have now surfaced that is not the case at all. It was simply a matter of WWE not needing her on the show any more now that she and Jimmy Uso are married. The other couples will provide plenty of marriage drama.

TNA offer to Del Rio

Some further details have been reported about TNA and their pursuit of Alberto Del Rio. It was already known that John Gaburick was the person that in contact with the former world heavyweight champion, as the two of them had a close working relationship in WWE. Now, word has leaked that the company has offered Del Rio a one year deal, worth approximately $400,000. They also requests that he work exclusively for them, which might be a problem because he wants to work elsewhere.

WWE takes jab at CM Punk

Even though a lot of fans do not watch NXT, WWE used it as a platform to take a jab at CM Punk. When Corey Graves announced his retirement during the kickoff show for Revolution, he heaped heavy praise on company doctors, stating that they were world class. Graves also stated that they did a tremendous job in identifying his health issues and coming up with a solution. That was viewed as a jab at Punk, who complained about the medical staff.

Another opponent for Alberto Del Rio has been named by ROH. The promotion chose ACH, a seven year veteran of the industry, who has been with Ring of Honor since 2012. He has never held a championship in the promotion, but he was listed as the 113th best performer by Pro Wrestling Illustrated in 2013. Del Rio will be working the match against him at the Dearborn, Michigan live event on January 30, 2015.

WWE wants to give the Royal Rumble a kick start, so management has decided to do something very special on the final episode of Monday Night Raw before the big pay per view. The special will be called Raw reunion, which will feature the on screen returns of real life best friends Kevin Nash, Scott Hall and Shawn Michaels. The trio will also be joined by Hulk Hogan, another performer that was in the nWo. The stable could be the theme for the evening.

The magazine noted that the former world heavyweight champion has also been moonlighting as a stand up comedian on his rare days off. In an interesting note, Rolling Stones stated that Ziggler's only weakness was his microphone skills, but that will improve.

On Monday Night Raw this week, Jerry Lawler received some backstage heat, due to sexually inappropriate comments that he made on the air. There are now rumors floating around that Vince McMahon was vehemently yelling at the announcers immediately after the comments were made. That would explain the awkward silence from Michael Cole and JBL. Generally, the commentators are silent whenever they are listening to McMahon on the headset.
