Aside from his ability to be a foreign marketing asset for WWE, one of the reasons why management decided to bring Alberto Del Rio back to the promotion was because they felt that he could provide fresh matches against some of the upper level baby faces such as Dean Ambrose, Roman Reigns and Antonio Cesaro. The creative department is running out of performers to mix and match in feuds.

Since there are only six matches announced for the pay per view thus far, there is a very good chance that WWE is going to add a filler match or two at Battleground. Dean Ambrose is a guy that the front office wants to keep relevant, so he could be thrown into a last minute match against someone like Kane, as there is a minor back story there already.

In a match that technically lasted an hour, Dean Ambrose defeated Luke Harper in the Extreme Rules street fight. The match started off the pay per view, but the two of them ended up in a car that sped away from the area. After a couple of matches took place, they came back to finish things up. Ambrose managed to pick up the pin fall victory after nailing Harper with his finishing move on top of a dozen or so steel chairs that were in the ring.

Some concerns have been risen in regards to the push that Rusev has been receiving in WWE. Right now, management is obviously stalling with him. The Russian sympathizer has not been thrown into a feud and has been working random matches against Dean Ambrose, R Truth, Roman Reigns, Justin Gabriel and Ryback. The belief is that the creative department did have a good story for him and will wait for the Royal Rumble.
