"I never really wanted to go to WWE. The tryout there was awesome. It was really fun and I can't say enough good things and I learned a lot, but I told a few of the guys during the initial tryout with Eddie that this was not for me just because moving down to Orlando is not what I wanted to do and wrestling is not the only thing I want to do with my life. To give up everything and just live in that world is not my idea of a great life or a perfect life. TNA offered me to be able to wrestle with some of the best wrestlers in the world, I could be on television, I could go and entertain crowds but I could still come home and be Wes. I could be Davey, then I could be Wes. It was just better for me and I couldn't be happier in TNA it's been great." - Davey Richards on choosing TNA over WWE

Davey Richards
"We're not talking. We're not on good terms. I have no respect for them whatsoever. I strongly dislike management there like with the exception of Jeff Jones who is a great guy. But the booker (Hunter Johnson) is completely inadequate at his job and he got his job more for being spineless than being talented. And the owner (Joe Koff) is even worse, he could care less about wrestling. He just wants to do television. To me, it's just not something I agree with but I'm not there anymore and they do their own thing. And for the talent and the fans I wish them nothing but the best of luck. That company is in business not because of stellar booking and stellar management. They're in business still because they'they're spineless. The talent there is phenomenal. They're top notch and great. But the management from the booker to the owner it's definitely shut up and do what you're told and drink the Kool-aid. I made a joke when I was there I called it Jim Jones wrestling. Just shut up and drink the Kool-aid and do your job. In private, people are going this sucks this sucks this sucks and I'm the one who came out and said this is terrible. I worked for that company and gave them everything I had for seven years. I think I earned my right to an opinion. Once that got out, it was like you're going against the stream? You're not here to have an opinion, just shut up and do your job and get your paycheck. I'm sure you can find someone else to do that for a lot less money than what you're paying me so I'm just going to go about my way. Best decision I ever made and I have no desire to go back, ever." - Davey Richards talks about the backstage politics in ROH

Alicia Fox
The expanding cast of Total Divas will include Alicia Fox next season. WWE has decided to include as many of their female performers as possible on the show, and Alicia was quite willing to sign up for the reality television show. For a lot of the girls, the hope is that the extra exposure will help them build up their name value for when they eventually leave the company and pursue other things.
October 20, 2014
Gene Snitsky
Through social media, Gene Snitsky has expressed his dissatisfaction with TNA for not bringing him on board full time. He did a couple of segments on Impact Wrestling this summer, but management has opted to remain fiscally responsible, as they are still trying to secure a new television contract. The company is expected to start signing wrestlers are that happens.
October 19, 2014
Dixie Carter
Reports have surfaced that TNA will announce their new television deal before the end of October. It is being said that Dixie Carter has informed business partners that an announcement is coming soon, in hopes of alleviating some of the concerns that they currently have with Impact Wrestling. Still no word yet on which network the company will be signing on with, though.
October 17, 2014
Brodus Clay
Back in June, Brodus Clay was given a release by WWE, so he informed his fans that his professional wrestling career was far from over. After exploring his options in Japan, the former bodyguard for Snoop Dogg decided to remain stateside by signing with TNA. He made his television debut for the company this week on Impact Wrestling by aligning himself with Ethan Carter and defeating Shark Boy in a match.
October 16, 2014
Adrian Neville
WWE officials are a lot more observant than fans think that they are. The company routinely monitors the audience reaction to certain performers. As of late, management has noticed that the ovations that Adrian Neville has been receiving when working with the main roster has been superb. On some nights, he gets more of a reaction than the guys that have been on television regularly.
October 15, 2014
Jeff Jarrett
While there has not been a ton of details revealed from the deal between New Japan Pro Wrestling and Global Force Wrestling, there are reports that have surfaced that Jeff Jarrett is looking to distribute content from the overseas promotion across the United States. His ability to do that would greatly increase if he were able to secure a national television deal, which he is rumored to have been working on over the past couple of months.
October 14, 2014
Mike Tenay
Another person that could be walking away from TNA in the near future is Mike Tenay, their longtime play by play commentator. His contract with the company expires in January, so he is expected to work until then. Many within the industry believe that a new television deal will be finalized and announced before then, so a contract extension for Tenay would not be out of the question.
October 14, 2014
Samoa Joe
Reports have surfaced that Samoa Joe and TNA parted ways after Bound For Glory 2014 once the contract between the two sides expired. As many already know, the company has been allowing top level performers to walk away because they simply do not want to make big financial commitments until a new television deal is secured. The belief is that Joe could be brought back on board once a new home on television has been found.
October 14, 2014
Brad Maddox
An interesting return took place at a WWE live event in Macon, Georgia this week. Brad Maddox came out and worked a match. He had previously been pulled from television when management dropped his on screen character. Since he was given a match to work, the speculation is that the company will finally give him a chance to be a full time performer on the main roster.
October 12, 2014
Alexander Rusev
While he does not have a story line or a feud on Monday Night Raw, Bray Wyatt has been working against Big Show, most recently during the brief tour of Malaysia. That has led to speculations that the two of them could be bringing that feud to television soon. However, Big Show is expected to put over Alexander Rusev, which would bring him down a notch. Management is concerned about putting Wyatt against mid card performers after moving him all the way up to John Cena.
October 11, 2014
Jeff Jarrett
There is a lot of interest in the upcoming pay per view event that Jeff Jarrett is doing in January. Performers within the entire industry are rooting for Global Force Wrestling to do well with their first show. Wrestlers have long been hoping for another place for potential employment, as WWE remains the top company and TNA is reportedly scaling back on salaries until they sign a new television deal.
October 9, 2014
Alexander Rusev
One of the reasons why WWE issued an apology in regards to the recent segment featuring Big Show and Alexander Rusev is because they have television shows in that country. The flag incident did make the news, but it was not considered a big deal over there because many are aware that it was simply an act. It also helps that there is a Russian loyalist character being booked strong.
October 9, 2014
Hulk Hogan
When it was announced that the two sides had reached a contract agreement for a return, many were under the impression that we would be seeing plenty of Hulk Hogan on WWE television. However, management has opted against utilizing him too frequently. The belief is that financial restrictions are a big reason why the company has opted to use him only for special events.
October 9, 2014
Bray Wyatt
Since management really likes the character and wants him back on television and pay per view events, there are talks of doing a baby face turn with Bray Wyatt. WWE ran out of top level opponents for him to work against once he was done with John Cena and Chris Jericho. Wyatt would have a couple of fresh heel opponents to work against if he were to switch sides.
October 9, 2014
Paul Heyman
Even though he is one of the most popular and entertaining performers, WWE is planning on keeping Paul Heyman off of Monday Night Raw and Smackdown until at least January. The belief is that management does not want to draw attention to the fact that their world heavyweight champion is not around for television shows. Lesnar and Heyman should be back in time to promote Royal Rumble 2015.
October 9, 2014
CM Punk
Reports have surfaced this week that TNA had made a big contract offer to CM Punk to join the company. Management has long been interested in acquiring the former world heavyweight champion, but they needed to wait until his deal with WWE expired, in order to avoid a potential tampering lawsuit. Punk has a good amount of name value and would be quite appealing to television networks.
October 9, 2014
Brock Lesnar
With Brock Lesnar taking the WWE championship home with him during his typical break from the business, Paul Heyman has been left hanging. The massively popular manager has been omitted from a couple of episodes of Monday Night Raw, including the latest one. Management simply cannot find something for him to do while Lesnar is not on television.
October 7, 2014
Christian
If you are a big fan of Edge and Christian, then you might want to tune into Monday Night Raw this week. WWE revealed earlier today through Twitter that the two of them have just arrived. A picture was also posted of the former tag team champions getting out of a vehicle. No word yet on where they are, but there is a chance that they could appear on television tonight to promote the Smackdown week.
October 6, 2014
Bray Wyatt
There were some speculations from online wrestling fans that Bray Wyatt had some sort of injury since he has not been utilized much on Monday Night Raw and Smackdown as much recently. However, the truth is that he is just fine. Wyatt continues to work matches on a regular basis during WWE live events. Management seems to be purposely not using him much on television.
October 4, 2014
Dixie Carter
While the company is still finalizing a television contract here in the United States, Dixie Carter and her staff have been expanding TNA deeper into Asia. It has now been revealed by the company that they have signed new television contracts that will enable them to gain viewers in Malaysia and Singapore. Impact Wrestling can now be seen in nearly 125 countries.
October 3, 2014
Eddie Edwards
The recovery for Davey Richards is not going as fast as many had hoped for, so TNA has had to make the tough decision to pull the Wolves from their advertised appearance at Bound For Glory 2014, which is taking place in Japan this year. No word yet on who will replace the duo, but there is a chance that Eddie Edwards could still be utilized on the pay per view in a match.
September 24, 2014
Davey Richards
Could Davey Richards and Eddie Edwards be gone from TNA as quickly as they came in? That's the speculation going around right now, as it has been revealed that the contract for the Wolves expire at the end of this year. Management does have the option of extending the deal for another year, but a lot of people are skeptical since the company has been letting a lot of people walk over the last couple of months.
August 28, 2014
Davey Richards
While working a tag team match with Eddie Edwards at a TNA live event in Pennsylvania, Davey Richards suffered a serious leg injury. Upon being rushed to the hospital, it was discovered that he has a broken fibula. Richards is expected to be out of action for approximately 6 weeks, which means that TNA will need to figure out what they want to do with the tag team titles.
August 16, 2014
Davey Richards
MVP is not the only TNA performer who is involved with the Ferguson protests and riots. It has now been revealed that Davey Richards has been working as a paramedic in the area. The tag team champion sent a message to MVP to be careful as Richards has witnessed a lot of the crazy things that have been going on up there. The protests are said to be much more peaceful as of late.
August 16, 2014
Ethan Carter
Wrestle-1 ran a live event this week, and a couple of TNA stars were on hand for the show. Rockstar Spud, Ethan Carter, Davey Richards and Eddie Edwards were all sent to Japan by Dixie Carter to participate. Great Muta even teamed up with Spud and Carter in a match. The belief is that we will be seeing more talent exchange situations between the two companies for the foreseeable future.
July 7, 2014
Matt Hardy
Fans have dream matches that they want to see. Professional wrestlers, though, have dream matches that they want to work. Eddie Edwards and Davey Richards are big fans of Jeff Hardy and Matt Hardy, and word going around the locker room is that the TNA World Tag Team Champions were honored to be in the same ring as a tag team that they looked up to.
June 27, 2014
Davey Richards
Rumors floating around right now has Davey Richards attempting to fleece his former employer, ROH, of their talent roster. While some feel that he is doing this on behalf of TNA, there are reports that company officials are denying it steadfastly. They are claiming that Richards is doing this on his own, and that they do not attempt to sign contracted performers.
June 13, 2014
Kevin Von Erich
As of right now, TNA has not announced the opponents for Ross Von Erich and Marshall Von Erich, the sons of Texas legend Kevin Von Erich, at Slammiversary 2014. Some rumors are floating around that they might be paired up with excellent ring workers in Davey Richards and Eddie Edwards, but others believe that they will be working against a heel tandem in order to generate a good reaction in front of their hometown fans in Dallas.

Davey Richards
"I always found it funny when I heard reports that I was one of the higher paid guys on the roster. I'd look at my paycheck and I never thought I was one of the higher paid guys. Essentially my contract was one of those where you only made a lot of money if you worked a lot, and I certainly wasn't working as much near the end of my contract as I was a year ago. I don't think that financial reasons were the reason I wasn't renewed. I don't know if they thought our act was tired or they wanted to go in a different direction. I'm not sure why that's the case, especially when I felt like there was a simple and great program in the works between us and Davey Richards and Eddie Edwards, but apparently the guys on the creative team didn't have the same desire to see that program take place." - Christopher Daniels discusses his contract situation with TNA
May 8, 2014
Eddie Edwards
Despite being against the odds in a 3-on-2 handicap no disqualification match at TNA Sacrifice 2014, Eddie Edwards and Davey Richards were able to walk away from the pay per view as the new world tag team champions by beating Zema Ion, Robbie E and Jessie Godderz.
April 27, 2014
Zema Ion
While the majority of the pay per view has already been announced, there are rumors backstage that an eight match could be added. Davey Richards and Eddie Edward are expected to be given a spot on the show, and their opponents could be Zema Ion, Robbie E and Jessie Godderz. There are also talks that MVP could be added if TNA doesn't want to do a handicap tag team match.
April 21, 2014
Zema Ion
A message from Davey Richards on Twitter, where he asks MVP to give he and Eddie Edwards a match against Zema Ion, Robbie E and Jessie Godderz at TNA Sacrifice 2014.
April 17, 2014
Seiya Sanada
Even though he already has a hold of the X Division Championship, Seiya Sanada has his eyes on another belt in TNA, as the Japanese star will be teaming up with another newcomer, Tigre Uno, in a triple threat tag team match for the tag titles. Davey Richards and Eddie Edwards will be the defending champions, while Robbie E and Jessie Godderz will attempt to reclaim the belts they once held.
March 14, 2014
Davey Richards
"I don't know. You never really know what they're thinking. The original plan was to do three weeks of NXT and then go to Smackdown but then we got the email that basically what it said was you guys are great but we have a lot of Davey's and Eddie's right now. So we'd probably just put you in developmental to start out and we wouldn't do that when you've already been around the world making a living so you're free to pursue other interests. I thought at least they're being honest because they could have been yeah, you're in developmental and it's going to be great. Then you're down there for three years. I thought it was really respectful of them. Obviously it worked out for them and it worked out for us. We're both happy. It didn't really surprise me. I'm thankful for it." - Davey Richards discusses being rejected by the developmental program in WWE
March 10, 2014
Eddie Edwards
Late last month, Eddie Edwards and Davey Richards captured the TNA tag titles at a live event from the BroMans. At the Wrestle-1 Outbreak pay per view, Jessie Godderz and Robbie E recaptured the championships. Great Muta really wanted a title change to take place at his show, so Dixie Carter and her company complied with those wishes.
March 2, 2014
Davey Richards
Over the weekend, Eddie Edwards and Davey Richards captured their first championship in TNA, as the duo was able to wrest the tag team titles away from Jessie Godderz and Robbie E at a house show. The move had been expected since Dixie Carter wants to send Edwards and Richards to Japan to work for the Great Muta on his Wrestle-1 Outbreak pay per view.
February 24, 2014
Davey Richards
While management has been impressed with Davey Richards as well, it appears that TNA is especially high on Eddie Edwards. The feeling backstage is that he can eventually become a breakout star down the line. Edwards was the one that ROH management was hoping would stick around instead of jumping ship.
February 20, 2014
Eddie Edwards
One of the biggest reasons why TNA is pushing the American Wolves on Impact Wrestling is to send a message to people in WWE. A lot of them, especially William Regal, were said to be upset that the two were not given contract offers. By pushing Davey Richards and Eddie Edwards, Dixie Carter can let performers know that her company could be a viable place of employment for others.
February 16, 2014
Eddie Edwards
It has been heavily rumored that Davey Richards and Eddie Edwards are going to be given a run with the TNA tag titles very soon, and it looks like TNA could be preparing for that, as the American Wolves are working with Jessie Godderz and Robbie E at live events in Texas over the weekend.
February 16, 2014
Eddie Edwards
There were initially plans to have Davey Richards and Eddie Edwards winning the TNA tag team championship while the company was on their European tour, but management opted to hold off on that, as they felt that it might be too soon for the fans to accept hem as title holders. They should still be in line for the belts in the coming months.
