It appears that WWE has changed their minds in regards to utilizing Daniel Bryan on television. Initially, he was supposed to make an appearance at Payback, while sticking around for a couple of days to do episodes of Monday Night Raw and Smackdown. However, management has opted to pull him off the road completely, so that the former world heavyweight champion can focus on rehabbing his injuries and making a comeback.

Some more bad news regarding Daniel Bryan. WWE has pulled his name from all upcoming live events and television taping. That is not a good sign because it means that the former world heavyweight champion will not be making a return anytime soon. Initially, there were rumors that he was going to be on the shelf for approximately a month. Now, it appears that he is going to need much more time to recover than that.

Earlier in the week, it was reported that Daniel Bryan had actually suffered a concussion. That is in addition to his neck not holding up properly. WWE, however, is denying the rumors. They stated that the former world heavyweight champion did not suffer a concussion. They are not denying that some sort of injury was suffered, though. The company simply is opting to keep that a secret, in the hopes that they can downplay the seriousness of it all.

Earlier in the month, rumors surfaced that WWE was going to put the Intercontinental Championship on Daniel Bryan so that he could headline the live events with it. However, Bryan has much bigger plans than that. He noted that his friend Shinsuke Nakamura managed to headline a New Japan show with their version of the IC belt. The IWGP World Heavyweight worked the under card. Bryan wants to do something similar if he wins the belt.

As expected of top stars, Daniel Bryan has been busy doing media appearances to help promote Wrestlemania. In a rather response, when asked who he would like to face at the big pay per view next year, Bryan mentioned Shinsuke Nakamura. The WWE star revealed that he used to be roommates with the former IWGP World Heavyweight Champion when both of them were training at the Antonio Inoki dojo.

There are talks coming out of WWE right now that if Brock Lesnar were to sign a new contract to remain with the company, then he would be rewarded with a victory over Roman Reigns at Wrestlemania. He would still be allowed to work the limited schedule that he has been on while continuing to carry the heavyweight championship. Management would then put the IC and US belt on Daniel Bryan and John Cena respectively so they can headline live events.

Rather than being a corporate puppet, Daniel Bryan decided to express his opinions during an interview recently. He confirmed that he was indeed disappointed at how the Royal Rumble played out. The former world heavyweight champion also stated that he was more disappointed than the fans were. Bryan states that WWE usually has the top matches booked for Wrestlemania, so it was disappointed to be lost in the shuffle during card placement.

In the main event of Fast Lane, Roman Reigns successfully defeated Daniel Bryan via pin fall to earn himself a chance to challenge Brock Lesnar for the WWE Heavyweight Championship at Wrestlemania. Management needed Bryan to help Reigns look good, and the former world heavyweight champion absolutely delivered. It was the best singles match that Reigns has been involved in since joining the company a couple of years back.

Since fans know that Daniel Bryan attended the wrestling school that was started by Shawn Michaels, they have been clamoring for WWE to put them together in a dream match. Many feel that it would easily be a match of the year candidate. During a recent interview, however, Michaels burst those bubbles. The former world heavyweight champion stated that he was not particularly interested in working a match against Bryan.
