Some more bad news regarding Daniel Bryan. WWE has pulled his name from all upcoming live events and television taping. That is not a good sign because it means that the former world heavyweight champion will not be making a return anytime soon. Initially, there were rumors that he was going to be on the shelf for approximately a month. Now, it appears that he is going to need much more time to recover than that.

It has been less than a week since Sheamus made his return to WWE, and there is already a little bit of backstage heat towards him. While working a match against Daniel Bryan at the Smackdown taping, many observed that he was being a bit reckless in the ring. He is being accused of not protecting his opponent enough during the match. Some are excusing him by stating that he is still shaking off the ring rust from his time off.

One of the ideas floating around backstage in WWE right now is to have Sheamus making his much anticipated and much promoted return during the Intercontinental Championship ladder match at Wrestlemania. He would initially do so as a baby face before getting the fans to turn on him by costing Daniel Bryan the match. A title feud between the two would then take place for the next month or so.

The former would have to make a heel turn in order for the feud to work out properly.

Patience is not a virtue for everyone. Initially, the plan was to save the televised in ring return for Daniel Bryan at the Royal Rumble because that would have the most impact on fans. He would work non televised live events prior to that to prepare for the big pay per view. WWE, however, has changed their minds and decided to pull the trigger early. Bryan will now be making his return on an episode of Smackdown, which is now moving to Thursday.

While many people are already aware that WWE is going to save his televised in ring return for the Royal Rumble, Daniel Bryan is actually going to be back at work before then. He has been booked for a couple of matches at live events prior to the pay per view. The move is obviously being done to get rid of the expected ring rust that he has accrued since being on the sidelines for so long. He might still make appearances on Monday Night Raw, however.

Now that he has decided to make a return to the company, there are those backstage who are pushing for Daniel Bryan to win the Royal Rumble and be in the headline match at Wrestlemania. However, there are also detractors of the idea, who believe that Bryan might be too much of an injury risk in such a high profile position. Some would much prefer to see how his body holds up after a couple of months of being on the road again.
