There is a lot of concern backstage in WWE over the health of Daniel Bryan. It is being said that his previous injuries are really having an effect on him. Some feel that he never fully recovered during his time off. Management is going to allow him to continue working to see if he can fight through it. However, the plan is to protect him as much as possible in matches. That is why we will see fewer singles matches from the former world champion.

Rather than being a corporate puppet, Daniel Bryan decided to express his opinions during an interview recently. He confirmed that he was indeed disappointed at how the Royal Rumble played out. The former world heavyweight champion also stated that he was more disappointed than the fans were. Bryan states that WWE usually has the top matches booked for Wrestlemania, so it was disappointed to be lost in the shuffle during card placement.

Since a good amount of the roster are on their way to the United Arab Emirates to do a quick tour, that means that WWE is running with a limited crew in the United States. In order to compensate for the loss of personnel, the remaining performers worked matches that were longer than usual. For example, the tag team turmoil main event match went approximately 45 minutes. Daniel Bryan and Roman Reigns were heavily featured in the match.

While many people are already aware that WWE is going to save his televised in ring return for the Royal Rumble, Daniel Bryan is actually going to be back at work before then. He has been booked for a couple of matches at live events prior to the pay per view. The move is obviously being done to get rid of the expected ring rust that he has accrued since being on the sidelines for so long. He might still make appearances on Monday Night Raw, however.
