Due to the controversy that was created by Hulk Hogan this week, Curtis Axel and Damien Sandow are being forced to drop their impersonation gimmicks, which was a key selling point for the duo. During a live event over the weekend, the two of them still were a tag team but they were dressed in generic clothing. In case you have not been paying attention to his segments, Curtis Axel has a new shirt made, and it says "Axelmania" on the front. Word going around is that it is something that he came up with on his own. He even produced the shirts himself. The belief is that WWE is giving him some creative control over his character. Some are even saying that he created the gimmick of complaining about the Royal Rumble and Wrestlemania.
